Interesting polls

You missed the point.

Biden is continuing to sin by supporting sinful behavior.

Is Trump continuing to sin? I don't know that, but there's no apparent evidence that he is.

Forgiveness requires repentance. It's clear that Biden has not repented,. Has Trump? I don't know that answer, but at least he's not actively supporting sinful behavior as Biden is.

Once again, you dodged my question. You said you prefer that neither man is our next president, but that's not realistic because one of the two will very likely be our next president. So by not voting for either, you could be helping the worse of the two to win. You can sit on your high horse all you want, but that is the reality of it.
Did I say neither of them will be president? No. I said neither would get my vote. I'm not the one on the high horse.
Trump is no angel, but he's clearly the better choice from a moral and spiritual point of view. If you can't see that, then you're not being honest to yourself.
I disagree with you. I don't find Trump to be much on moral's nor spirituality.
I will remind you that we are all sinners, saved by grace, I have done sinful things. You have done sinful things. We are not forever condemned, Jesus gave us a pathway to redemption.
We have all done sinful things. I however I admit to my sins and asked God for forgiveness. Trump on the other hand states he does not have to ask God for forgiveness because he never sins. Had he not committed adultery, he would not be sitting in a NY courtroom on trial right now.
Biden and Trump also have that pathway, should they decide to travel it. It's clear that Biden is not walking as a righteous man.
Neither is Trump.

As usual, you're taking that somewhat out of context and probably making more of it than it is. I suspect Trump has probably not studied God's word enough to completely understand it. And he really should study it, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's not a believer. Again, that's something neither of us know. But I'll take that over a man who crosses himself while the woman next to him is "preaching" for abortion.

Once again, you took a post about someone else and made it about Trump. It must be very sad to be so obsessed with the man, especially when he's not currently in a position that affects you.

Isn't the real purpose you started this thread is to use it to point out how Trump leads, although by slim margins, in the polls? How many times have you discussed Trump in this thread? You are apparently obsessed with Trump. You are quite frequently making posts against Biden. So by your own standard, you must be obsessed by him.

What your problem is you can't stand anyone, especially other conservatives who posts anything against Trump even when it's the truth. You go as far as calling us Trump haters.

I don't see Trump as a Christian man. I see Trump using Christians to get elected, just as he did in 2016 and in his failed reelection attempt in 2020. Watch the short video below. Do you believe he does nothing to ask forgiveness from God? What Christian man would say that? As you said, we are all sinners.

No, I started it to have a place to "report" all the relevant polls to The Hwy. I don't decide who leads the polls, the people do (assuming the poll is accurate).

I've discussed Trump in this thread, as well as Biden and probably Kennedy. Earlier in the process, I believe we also discussed the other candidates in the primaries; DeSantis, Haley, Ramaswamy, Christy, etc. Here is the post I began the thread with, it's about all the candidates. https://www.dallashwy.com/index.php?threads/interesting-polls.44544/#post-472607

The fact that all you see is Trump, Trump, Trump (Marcia, Marcia, Marcia) in this thread when it's about the election as a whole makes it very obvious who has the obsession, and it ain't me. When you watch the news, do you hear anything but "Trump blah blah blah blah Trump blah blah blah Trump blah blah blah"? Dude, it's not all about Trump. Get over it!

I don't know why you hate the man so much, but the odds say he'll be the next president, so you might have a rough four years ahead of you unless you deal with the hate.

Really not much going on in the polls, they are amazingly flat. Trump's claim that Minnesota is in play is a maybe, but Biden still leads there by a couple of points. I think Virginia is an uphill battle for Trump. Beyond that, not much is changing right now. I suspect it will take a significant event to change things at this point; possibly a Trump conviction, major developments on the world stage, or major economic news here at home.

Regarding switching Biden with another candidate...Kennedy has laid out a pretty good case for making him the Democratic nominee instead of Biden. He's even calling Biden the spoiler in the race; saying Biden is what is standing in the way of Kennedy winning. Still probably a long shot, but I give Kennedy credit for such a bold move. I don't see the Dems allowing Kennedy to run; he is very much at odds with them on several key positions. But if they did pull Biden and run Kennedy; I think they would have a pretty good chance of winning. So that's one we might want to watch, I think it has a better chance of happening than running Newsom or Big Mike.

I noticed you used the word ''we.'' Then you must recognize that I don't make it all about Trump.

How can you say I make it all about Trump when I have made plenty of posts against Biden as well. This election is about the United States of America. A country I served and went to war four times for. A country I wrote a blank check for. Imagine my disappointment in the country I see it becoming. Each election we continue to have worse and worse candidates to choose from as we do now. Trump and Biden are the two worst candidates we will see facing each other in an election in my lifetime. No matter which of them wins, we lose.

I find it hypocritical on your part to say I hate Trump much because I refuse to support him. What do you use to determine that? Do you hate Biden, the Obamas, Clintons, and other Democrats?

You are quick to point out Biden is not a Christian, but you aren't sure about Trump. If you're not sure, then perhaps you have doubts he is one.

I guess since you've made it clear you're not voting for either leading candidates then your opinion of those two candidates really doesn't matter to most of us who plan to vote for one of them. Who is your grand alternative candidate having more than a snowball's chance of winning and why them over one of the two major political party candidates? What answers to our country's major issues do they offer which are different from the two leading candidates? I'm interested to hear your take....convince me not to vote for Trump.

The right choice to have been president is DeSantis.

The right choice to have been president is DeSantis.
And that is now all but impossible because the voters rejected him.

Best you can hope for is that Trump tags him as VP, though I think it unlikely. But I could be wrong.

Like I said, this country is screwed regardless of who on the ballot wins. So, I'll write in DeSantis' name. I believe I have said that a few times in the past.
So slam anything posted about Trump and throw your support behind a candidate who has suspended his campaign. You do you....this is Merica.

On a similar subject without starting a new thread I early voted today. The races were pretty straight forward but there were some interesting non-binding questions on the GOP ballot. The three that caught my eye in layman's terms were the replacement of state tax with consumption based fair tax, the accountability of sanctuary jurisdictions (officials) being held responsible for crimes committed by illegals and legal gaming in the state. I think an elimination of state tax and legal gaming are a real possibility if we keep a GOP executive and congress in the state. The accountability question may face some legal hurdles dealing with actual enforcement. These are all conservative based issues and the state had better move on them before the demographic tips too far towards the left.

True Story:

I once wrote in my dad's name for US Senate instead of voting for John McCain ( McCain was a baaaad guy, really.)

My dad had been dead for three years, however I thought he could still have done a better job than McCain, and besides... why has death ever stopped anyone from either being on a ballot or even voting?

Good for you! Look at how many federal elections we have had in the last two decades where it was deciding which of the two party candidates were the lesser of two evils. We will face the same thing this year for president, thanks to all those who voted for Trump because they believed he got screwed in 2020. They got suckered by a con man.
