Yes he is.

Okay...what did I miss about Billy Graham?

He took the Mormons off the cult list and supported Mitt.

Billy Graham’s Website Removes ‘Mormonism’ From Cult List

The prominent Christian evangelist Billy Graham has taken public steps to embrace Mitt Romney for president this week, removing Romney’s Mormon religion from a list of cults on his website and taking out an advertisement that appears to urge people to vote for Romney.

Graham’s Evangelistic Association removed the word Mormon from its website, where it used to be listed along with Jehovah’s Witnesses and Scientology as a cult.

The move comes just a week after Romney visited Graham at his home in North Carolina.

THANK you! That makes sense, otherwise I really was just reading it as a random thought. I figured maybe Sadie took over Fox's account! :taunt
I do not follow Graham and had no idea he had a cult list or that the Mormons were on it and now have been removed.

I listen but still don't understand sometimes. He's too smart for me!

I'm a Christian and it's important to me for a president to hold as many of the Christian values I do. I have looked at the values and charitable works of both Romney and Obama and Romney's values are much more closer to mine. He has done many things to help others that he doesn't discuss, but I have learned about them from others who benefited from Romney's deeds to help others. He's given millions of dollars not only to his church, but to other charitable organizations that help others, Christians and non-Christians alike.

Romney believes in the right to life as I do. Obama doesn't.

He believes in the Christian definition and values of marriage. Obama doesn't.

Romney is active in his church. Obama went to a church in Chicago that spewed hatred for others. How often has Obama gone to church since being in the WH? I think you will find he's played golf more than he has gone to church. It takes a lot longer to play 18 holes of golf than it does to sit in a pew at church to hear the Word of God and praise Him.

I'm not going to say Mormonism is a cult nor am I going to accuse Mormons of not being Christians. I simply don't know much about it and it's not my place to pass judgement on them.

When I make a decision who to cast my vote for, I choose someone who holds as close as possible the same values I do. I hold presidential candidates to that litmus test as well as who will do the best as a leader for our country. Romney gets my vote because of those.

I thought it was a good article, his intent was clear and helpful. As Christians we are called not only to walk with Christ (I'll keep it simple) but also be good citizens. A non-vote is still a vote which affects the outcome of an election and very possibly it could affect it in a way opposite of one's intent. We are voting for our new leader and should consider which candidate would most closely align with our values and beliefs, then cast a ballot accordingly.

Just my 1 1/2 cents.

I won't weigh in on whether or not Romney is a good "Christian", being totally unqualified. I will say that he is a good man. I find nothing in his background to make me believe that he is a liar, a thief, or a scoundrel. I do find plenty to show that he is a man of charity, concern, and intelligence. I can not say the same about his opponent. So if we are speaking of morals and principals, there is no contest.

But then again I'm so stupid I thought that the Catholics and Protestants in Ireland were idiots for killing each other. I guess I don't get the seriousness of the taunt that my God is better than your God, particularly when he appears to be the same guy. I never will, and I find it troubling that someone would refuse to vote for a man just because he is of a different religion, particularly when there is such a glaring difference in the two candidates.

That's the whole point. Larry has run into this kind of debate among Christians. If it were a one time occurrence, he wouldn't have bothered. I've no idea who he has encountered, but I'm sure it's not anyone in our immediate circle of friends. Nonetheless, it came up often enough for him to write this article.

Ditto. I think that was more of a cultural thing and a political thing than a religious one, though, although the roots for everything there run deep. At least Sinn Fein has called off the terrorism. For now, anyway.

I will also repeat something I heard Cal Thomas say years ago - the Messiah is not going to step off of Air Force One. We are not voting on a pastor. We are voting on a President, and these CLUELESS (IMHO) Christians who think otherwise really should buy a clue. :tapfoot2
