Money paragraph:

We are not electing a pastor or a deacon; we are electing a person to act as both CEO and commander in chief. It’s a hiring decision, and just as we would want the best available surgeon in a life-or-death situation, competency to carry out the duties of the office should be a leading factor when deciding on a president.

I would vote for an atheist lesbian duck-billed platypus if she vowed to govern according to the Constitution.

That is really the only paragraph I liked. I really did not like the article.

A lot of folks have a lot of problems with anyone who is different than they in any way. Me, I'm with (songwriter) Russ Taff - if you believe in Jesus, you belong with me. Period.

Billy Graham is supporting Romney.
Yes he is.

Okay...what did I miss about Billy Graham?
Nothing. Fox was simply saying that Graham, being a Christian, is voting for Romney. I think that's what he saying.
:)) Gotcha! Just seemed random, so I thought I missed something!
There are Christians out there that refuse to support Romney, because he is Mormon. That is why this article was written...to address that issue & try to put the choice of candidates into perspective.

He took the Mormons off the cult list and supported Mitt.

Billy Graham’s Website Removes ‘Mormonism’ From Cult List

The prominent Christian evangelist Billy Graham has taken public steps to embrace Mitt Romney for president this week, removing Romney’s Mormon religion from a list of cults on his website and taking out an advertisement that appears to urge people to vote for Romney.

Graham’s Evangelistic Association removed the word Mormon from its website, where it used to be listed along with Jehovah’s Witnesses and Scientology as a cult.

The move comes just a week after Romney visited Graham at his home in North Carolina.

Yes, you said that better than I did. I'm very glad he wrote the article for that reason.

I know the author, so I know his heart & his intent behind this piece. I respect him a great deal.

I don't care what Billy Graham thinks, no disrespect, and whether he lists it as a cult our not doesn't change the fact that it is from a Christian perspective. I'm voting for Romney but I'm not going to deceive people on what he really is.

THANK you! That makes sense, otherwise I really was just reading it as a random thought. I figured maybe Sadie took over Fox's account! :taunt
I do not follow Graham and had no idea he had a cult list or that the Mormons were on it and now have been removed.
