My SIL has like 13 rescues (both cats and dogs) with such cute names -- all with unique stories, and the name is part of the story. I.e., Chevron -- because they rescued her from a Chevron station. But the others have even more unique stories.

Rescues usually do have unique stories. They also seem to know that if it weren't for you they would be in a worse situation. My guys are so loving, it's like they just know how lucky they are. Of course they make me feel like I'm the lucky one to have them in our lives.Sungoddess said:

awww great pics Gators..I used to have one like your Max..his name was Klondike =) He was a snippy little twerp. He bit 2 of my friends cause they got to close to me. When I lived in Austell, we lived in a townhouse and our neighbors at the time were dealing drugs (didn't know it at the time) but several of the dogs came up sick one Sunday morning..6 dogs to be exact. They fed them all anti-freeze so they would die and not bark and draw attention to their house during the night. My Klondike was one who died (and he only went out in the back yard before bedtime to use the potty, but would bark at them if they were outside). Only 2 of the dogs survived cops arrested them 3 weeks later after all of us neighbors filed reports and the cops sent in someone undercover to purchase drugs. Was so glad to see those dudes go away!
