FBI Raids Trump's Home Mar-A-Lago in Florida.

From what I understand, the gist of this whole mess will boil down to whether or not Trump declassified the documents. And according to many lawyers and a SCOTUS ruling awhile back, a sitting president has complete and unilateral power power to declassify.

I'm not a judge and I don't play one on the internet, but I don't see a pathway for the Dems to make this stick. I doubt that was ever their intent; the whole mess is just more theatrics to damage Trump in the court of public opinion. Same as the Jan 6th hearings, same as Russiagate, same as the impeachment silliness.

I agree.

I wonder if they were also looking for something that would show more about January 6th... since that has gone nowhere for the dems.

It is all dirty... the FBI has been weaponized to be the strong arm of the Democrats...we all know it.

An asshat from the left who used to work for NSA said there was no law or regulations a president must follow BUT a precedent had been established when one president put cover letters on the document stating the documents were declassified. One president chose to put a cover letter on the documents making it protocol when all the other presidents didn't do that. That's a reach. If none of the other presidents did that, then the precedent is NOT to add a cover letter. The left is really reaching to make it look like Trump did something illegal. It will come back and bite them in the ass.
