Duke

I really hate to say it, but we can no longer keep Duke. Is there anyone here that can take him? If not, can you please help me to find someone who can take him until Fox gets back?

I would have no objection at all if Daughter Colson hadn't adopted Tucker last summer. We were doing fine with 2 dogs...the 3rd one has stretched our psychological well-being. I'll keep an eye on this thread. I think someone will be willing to help for a few months. If nothing else, we can check with Wendy's Pet Sitting. She may have an idea. She's a member here, but isn't on much, but she watches our dogs every year.

I'd seriously consider it if I had a fence. But without one, I have no way of keeping him safe and at home.

I think he'd make a fine storage yard guard dog ;D

He'd get out every time someone opened the gate.

Plus my customers would gripe. A dog from the place behind us got into the fence once and we were slammed with customer complaints.

I don't recall, (and I'm too lazy to check), is he inside or outside most of the time? My fence is somewhat unreliable and has a male lab who may or may not be happy to see a visitor. And if he's primarily inside, we simply aren't home enough. :(

Well I don't know how he was when he was with Fox, but with us he is outside unless it is too cold or rainy. He is also inside at night.

I'll give you $40 and build you a fence.

Is there anyone who can help us out? Even if it is not someone here, but someone one of you guys know.

The biggest issue is that we already have 3 dogs and we just don't have the room. He really is a good dog, but he and our little dog don't get along.

I think he is just jealous that he doesnt get to hang out at the QT waiting for and frantically waving at every passing UHaul truck my like my little hispanic dog does.

Duke is a really good dog. He likes being outside. Whenever I had him in the house, he wanted to go out. He was fine being inside at night though. He also liked to lay on my ottoman and watch TV a lot. That seemed to be his favorite place to lay; especially if I was watching the Dawgs play. No kidding.

I'll cover all the vet bills and the cost of his food if someone would just take care of him until I get back home for good in October.
