Court Agrees To Hear Cruz Eligibility Case

This is just a state court. The federal courts have already dismissed identical suits by voters against Obama based upon the fact that they have no standing. Nothing will come of this.

Except to put doubt in people's minds.

And that will likely benefit Trump.

It would present quite the dilemma. While I do believe Cruz to be eligible, if a higher court says no, what does that say about the Obama presidency? I think a "liberal" judge would be forced to say Cruz is eligible.

I am unsure of what you are saying, because Cruz was born in another country and Obama was born in Hawaii.

So far that has only been stated and never proven he was actually born in Hawaii. The only publicly release birth certificate was proven to be fake, even "O"'s attorneys admitted this fact in court. All other records are sealed.

I do not remember this or even remember hearing of this. I thought his being born in Hawaii was an accepted fact. (except by half the country ha ha ha ha)

No, a lot of people still don't buy it. The fake birth certificate he released only after he was under pressure made it smell even worse. Even some of the officials in Hawaii says he wasn't born there.

But nothing will ever come of it. Everyone in Washington is afraid of whoever is behind Obama.

The story will be fully vetted once he leaves office and enough time has passed to prevent an uprising. Time will prove how stupid half the American population was to support such an embarrassment to the nation not only once but twice.

I so not know if that will ever come out. Does anyone know if a sitting President can override a sealed record of a former?

Not likely, because if he is later proven to be ineligible; there would immediately be an immediate challenge that every single thing he did, every bill be signed, every E/O he made is now invalid.

And as I understand it; that's how the courts would likely see it. Can you imagine the constitutional crisis that would be?

The birth certificate was obviously produced on a computer and certified by the state of Hawaii. That means that he was legally born in Hawaii. As we know, the law and fact are sometimes in opposition to one another. As I said back then, and as is apparent now, it really doesn't matter if he was born overseas because his mother is a citizen, and his mother and father resided in the United States within 5 years of his birth.

What about this?

Congressional rule change for people born between December 23, 1952 and November 13, 1986 puts in serious doubt Stanley Ann Dunham’s ability to confer citizenship status on her son.

”When one parent was a U.S. citizen and the other a foreign national, the U.S. citizen parent must have resided in the U.S. for a total of 10 years prior to birth of the child with FIVE of the years after the age of 14.” Stanley Ann Dunham did not meet requisite status according to blog discovery. One commenter said, “She was not old enough to register Obama’s birth in Hawaii or anywhere else in the U.S. as a Natural Born Citizen as she did not meet the residency requirements! Backing this statement up, another commenter reiterates:” The law specifically outlines the requirements for a CITIZEN mother to confer citizenship to her baby. Ann Dunham was NOT old enough-case closed!”

True, but that rule has never been tested and the age requirement in other cases not involving a presidential son has been waved. There is also the serious contention that under Hawaii law, his parents were not legally married as his father did not obtain a legal divorce from his first wife. If that is the case, then the residency requirement for the mother is reduced to one year after the age of 14.
