Do not attempt to use facts when debating a fanatical ideal based on imagination and misinformation.Did you know the polio vaccine was released by the FDA as an emergency use drug before it was fully vetted by the FDA? The small pox vaccine wasn't approved by the FDA until 2007.
As I recall, you had the WuHan. Did you get the jab since then, and if not, how do you handle your customers new requirements?I have had issues with "forcing" the vaccine on people but my concerns are more about side effects than politics or faux individualism. These folks who are saying they are not getting on the bandwagon are actually joining the trombone section by following what other "individualist" are saying about "their" bodies. It is an ignorant stance. OK lets get it straight up front I am a dumb ass southern white boy so I am probably wrong about everything I can live with that. These folks who are conspiracy minded scare me with their single view closed minded theories. Concerning the government "plot" to force the vaccine on everyone so they can use it to infiltrate your life. Do you actually believe you can develop a vaccine, possibly infuse it with "secret sauce", put a scarlet letter on non-believers involving thousands of people in the R&D field and everyone who is involved keeps their mouth shut? You can tell two friends a secret, swear them to silence and it will be on Facebook that night. So tens of thousands of government employees as well as drug company employees are so involved in the scheme that they would not dare tell anyone about it. Does that sound like a rational thought? Look it is any ones choice what they do to their body but when that effects the entire world their are some things a rational person does for the good of others. If you quit your job because you are asked to comply with a health crisis I hope you are wealthy enough not to starve or get on the government teat. It is a very stupid decision. Full disclosure I have an employee threatening just that if my best customers require a vaccine. I will miss him.
OK lets get it straight up front I am a dumb ass southern white boy so I am probably wrong about everything I can live with that.
My point is no one should do it or not do it because of what others say. I really don't get the founding fathers angle (apples/oranges) but you or anyone else absolutely have the right to their opinion. Much as this is my opinion and it may be wrong. If someone is anti because of health reasons or fear of side effects that is a rational concern. If someone (and there are millions) opposes it because of what some chat room/media extremist expert says they are walking the line of dumb ass. I am sorry but if someone denies science they are not the sharpest knife in the drawer and denial is ignorance. You will have a hard time finding anyone who distrust government more than me but I will give myself this I try to be a free thinker and I am influenced very little by what others think agree or disagree with their stance. JMOI wonder just how many times our founding fathers were called conspiracy theorist. Just because someone is against the jab doesn’t make them ignorant, at least no more ignorant than those who line up for the jab just because society expects it. The issue is people don’t respect the opinions of others, they just expect everyone to stand in their line whether it be the line for or against the jab.
I did indeed have the WuHan very early on. No offense intended but I would rather not disclose my status on the vaccination or any other personal health questions. I either have already or will comply with my customers requirements and so will my employees. That is as long as they want to continue to be my employees. We have been mandated a flu shot for years. As I recall, you had the WuHan. Did you get the jab since then, and if not, how do you handle your customers new requirements?
I think that is just an empty threat by the majority of the employees. I doubt very seriously many would give up a good income because of it.Of interest, there was a poll on a large HVAC Facebook page yesterday, and a huge majority of HVAC techs said they would quit their job if their employer mandated the vaccine.
I'm not being pro or anti vaccine here, but I see a lot of bad coming from these mandates. A lot of damage to the economy.
The notion that the uncaccinated is to blame for everything is BS.
Also of interest, in Europe where "showing your papers" is more common that here, I'm being told that having had COVID (natural immunity) is accepted in lieu of being vaccinated. IMO, this is how it should be if we're going to mandate or require proof.
Don't think so. Good techs are very much in demand right now, they can easily get other jobs. Companies like mine that are below the threshold will snatch them up.I think that is just an empty threat by the majority of the employees. All the people I know who won't get the vaccine are doing so because of the stupid conspiracy theories out there that the vaccine has a tracking device, it causes your organ function to decline, etc.My point is no one should do it or not do it because of what others say. If you're entire industry or the vast majority of them were to require it, they would get the vaccine.Don't think so. Good techs are very much in demand right now, they can easily get other jobs. Companies like mine that are below the threshold will snatch them up.
Most HVAC and refrigeration companies are below the 100 employee threshold. If you're entire industry or the vast majority of them were to require it, they would get the vaccine.
How will it hurt the big companies? The shots are free. Do you think the majority of people who work for these companies are going to quit and go to work for smaller businesses? I don't think that will happen. Most HVAC and refrigeration companies are below the 100 employee threshold.
This mandate will most likely not stand, but if it does it will hurt the big companies and help the small ones.
