Well, went to the Dr with my dad on Monday and they had to delay the chemo a second week because his blood levels were too low. (he has bone marrow cancer). Platelets count was down to 20. (normal is 150 - 200) Red cell count was low which makes him out of breath and tired and makes the likelihood of a heart attack go way up. They are giving him a transfusion this week to see if they can get the counts up, but its' not looking good.
He's 85, so had a good life, but after having him being healthy for so many years, its' difficult for me to conceive of a world without him. Since he's mom's caregiver (Alzheimer and ( I believe ) depression from her twins death a couple of years ago) so we have to figure out where she is going to go. Several memory care units close, but since the virus, they won't let us visit, so I can't just have her lose her husband and put her somewhere where she'll be all alone.
We're funding a trust now for her care, I hope we have time to complete it.
A lot of hard decisions ahead. Prayers for wisdom and strength.
