Prayer requests

Keep our family in continued prayers. FIL still in hospital on respirator. Lungs just won’t clear up and the prognosis is not all that good. It will take a miracle from God at this point, I know He is in the miracle business but I also know that He will call us home when it is our time. My FIL has always treated me like I was his own son so this really sucks. I know how we all feel about masks and such and I sure don’t like to wear one, but if there is even a small chance that wearing one out in public when in closed spaces, please wear it. Once it has affected someone in your family, it could be too late. We need to keep our state open. We cannot walk backwards so maybe a very small sacrifice just while out might help. Thanks for all the love and prayers already, they are appreciated.

Yeah the waiting outside is horrible. At least one person should be able to be in there. If doctors and nurses can "gown up" and mask up, can they not let one person do the same to be there for your loved one? Trust me, my FIL would prob love to hear someone's voice that he knows. It may stir something inside of him to fight like the dickens to get better. Granted in his case, he is in COVID isolation but I really feel like he needs to hear family. He is sedated but I am a firm believer that he would still be able to hear.
Still thinking about you guys.

It’s been a tough day today. Here is what I posted on Facebook tonight. Prayers appreciated

What’s in a name? More than you know. Remember the name Vic Sims because I sure will. Vic has passed on from this earth and is now in the presence of Jesus. He was more than a father in law to me. He treated me like I was his own son. He loved his country so much. Once a Marine always a Marine. Any time I needed anything he was there. He taught me how to install ceiling fans! I will always remember the things he has taught me. I love this man with all my heart and I am so glad he raised such a great daughter that I call my wife. Thank you Marine. Your service on this earth has concluded. Rest assured that we will take good care of Shirley. Now it’s time for you to rest in your Savior’s arms. It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later. Semper Fi!

This was a great guy you couldn't help but like. A big boisterous Marine, but with a great sense of humor and a kindness that was obvious. He will be missed!
