Who is your favorite chef?

While sitting here watching Ann Burrel, whom I thoroughly enjoy, I started thinking who my favorite chef is. I'm going with Anthony Bourdain as my #1 with Alton Brown a close second. I can't stand Paula Dean but her sons are bearable. And I swear, the first person that lies and says "Oh my spouse blah blah blah" is going to get a strongly worded report from me!!!!

My poor doggy was startled because I laughed so loud! :spitchick

Agreed on Paula Deen. I like Bobby, as long as he's not on with her. My fave of late, though, is Ina Garten. She always makes these elegant dishes, but she doesn't talk down to people, and you can actually learn a lot from her. Alton Brown is always educational and fun. (He lives off the square in Mayretta, doncha know.)

I figgered all the mens would say Giada (and her boobage). :D

Giada is a great cook. I like her and Ina too. I have a couple of Ina's cookbooks.

I also love watching the Cooking Channel (much more content than the entertainment-y Food Network) with Julia Child and the Two Fat Ladies. All awesome.

If we are talking about chefs with boobage, Giada's not bad but she has nothing on Nigella Lawson.

True story! That girl makes me want to spit nails. If she's Eastern European, I'm a garbage can. GAH!!!

Oh, HEY! That girl is STUNNINGLY lovely. I love watching her just to see her sweet and gentle demeanor. She totally seems like someone I'd like to live next door to.

Hey, don't forget the Restaurant Impossible guy. He's got great arms... Again, I don't know if he can really cook or not... :whistle

I know a few guys that met him when he was filming at a steak house in, I think it was Lawrenceville. They said he was a very imposing figure and that what you see on the show is not an act. He's very serious about the work he does.
