Troy Davis to be executed after parole board denies clemency

It's all smoke and mirror tricks by the defense, and anti-death penalty activists, to change his sentence. He turned himself in, the physical evidence is there (except for the actual gun), and there are witnesses. Enough for me.

Also would like to add that if Troy Davis is so innocent, as some would like for us to believe, then why in the world did he shoot someone earlier the same day and why was he beating up a homeless man (which caused Officer MacPhail to intervene) in the first place?

There were 34 total witnesses and even of the 7 that have made changes, almost none of them change their story enough to say that he was innocent. Even when Davis was in court on an appeal after his attornies got affidavits from some of those that did change their stories, Davis and his defense team would not allow those witnesses to be called in to testify. WTH? really? And we're supposed to believe that those affidavits are true when you won't even allow those witnesses in court?
 
What's amazing to me is that as journalists, they only seem to report what the defense is pushing. How about presenting the facts the jury heard? Of course the answer is that the liberal media is anti-death penalty......in any case that doesn't affect them or their family personally. :Ninja
 
Not only the facts the the jury heard (how many times have we falsely been told there was no physical evidence???) but what about the actual facts from each of the appeals, hearings, etc.? I'll tell you why ... none of that fits their misleading agenda.
 
His conviction for shooting Michael Cooper wasn't mentioned by Anderson Cooper last night and it isn't referenced on Global Grind - the website several celebrities and hip hop artists keep referring to on Twitter. They aren't putting the entire truth out there - that bothers me.

I think the media was doing exactly what the media does, which is not always about broadcasting news/facts anymore. They go after the sensational story for the ratings. Hands down.
 
UM - You have no idea how many times today I have had to walk away from my computer as to not lash out to some of the idiotic posts on FB! People "feeling sorry for the people having to live in GA" or "how pathetic GA is to kill an innocent black man" and on and on. UGH. Not one of them read anything, but listened only to the "facts" (and I use that term loosely) presented to them.

There are locals that were posting similar, too. "My heart is heavy tonight" ... "How can an innocent man be murder by the government in this day and age?" ... and more. I just shook my head and moved on.

I think I'll update my FB status to: You can't fix stupid.
