Think Carefully before Answering

OK, you get to have any singer or musician or musical group sing and/or play for you for one night.
This can be anyone living or dead and it will be the singer, musician or group when they were/are in their prime.
Think carefully, because it could be Mozart, Chopin, Hank Williams Sr., Caruso, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Jelly Roll Morton, John Philip Sousa, Billie Holiday, Bob Wills, The Beatles; you get the idea, the list is endless.

So...who is your choice?
this actually gets to happen for me often...

I guess dead wise..Elvis

Dead people play and/or sing for you often?
Yes...yes they do....

But no my hubby works in radio and I have friends who are musicians and work for record labels so I get to meet/ eat/ sing along with some pretty interesting people.

I also have an interesting job that puts me on movie sets, concert halls, redneck tv and alligators in my car.

Also after you wrote what you did about our choices I still would not change my answer...I will stick with the hip swaying lip jumpin Elvis.

I grew up around country music cause my grandparents owned a concert hall. They were friends with Johnny Cash , Conwat Twitty and all those folks. I didn't like a lot of the music and always danced with my granny and great uncle to Elvis. I used to play his 8 track like no tomorrow. For me it is all for the memories and not with the who you think I should meet.

The older folks do nuttin for me and Mozart would bore me to tears. Plus Elvis is cuter than Mozart anyway lol

All good choices, but what about those great singers/musicians that were never filmed or recorded.
Or if they were recorded, there are no "live" concerts.
Wouldn't they make a good choice?
Isn't there anyone that you would take the opportunity to have play and/or sing for you.
I am a huge Elvis and Rod Stewart fan but I had chances to see them live and I have seen film concerts. Same for Sinatra.

I am not trying to criticize any choice, but you have all of music history to choose from.
So, think over your choices and see if you wish to stay with you current ones.
Notice I didn't mention Seager, anyone who cried when he cut his hair, is staying with Bob.

:spitchick You don't know how close I really came to spewing! Seger is my absolute final answer. In my defense- I have NEVER liked the boy bands and think girls who cry for them are just silly.

I do like big band music, too. Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and the like do make me swoon.

First - stradial, you did a much better job with this question. :thumbsup

Second - I have it narrowed down to Mozart, Rod Stewart (standards/big band only), and Elvis. Mozart I can get anywhere, so although I adore him, Imma have to ditch him. Elvis's music is everywhere, so Imma ditch him, too. So I guess Rod Stewart, and he sings every good big band/swing/standard ever written. :swooooooooooon:

PS - If I just happen to drop by for a visit with Cheezy when Seger is there, I'll hang around and listen. BIG FAN!!!

Rd Stewart creeps me out.

When I was little, I just knew when I grew up Elvis was gonna be my husband. There was not a doubt in my mind. Yea, I wouldn't change my choice either, but it would have to be the early Elvis, not the stoned one.

Neil Diamond....and I want to sing with him. :)
MrB LOVES Neil Diamond. Lol

His uncle was a guitar player for Cat Stevens and some other people.

MrB sounds like good people to me! :thumbsup

I used to never miss a Neil Diamond concert.
By the way, the song "Cracklin Rosie" is not about a woman, it is about a bottle of cheap wine called Cracklin Rosie.
