Think Carefully before Answering

OK, you get to have any singer or musician or musical group sing and/or play for you for one night.
This can be anyone living or dead and it will be the singer, musician or group when they were/are in their prime.
Think carefully, because it could be Mozart, Chopin, Hank Williams Sr., Caruso, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Jelly Roll Morton, John Philip Sousa, Billie Holiday, Bob Wills, The Beatles; you get the idea, the list is endless.

So...who is your choice?

By the window, that is where I'll be
Come tiptoe through the tulips with me

And Miss Vicki?

Easy choice for me. Bob Seger. Always has been and always will be my choice!

Oh! And I'm hanging at Cheezy's while Seger is there! 8) And at GD's, but ONLY when the Eagles are there. :D

First - stradial, you did a much better job with this question. :thumbsup

Second - I have it narrowed down to Mozart, Rod Stewart (standards/big band only), and Elvis. Mozart I can get anywhere, so although I adore him, Imma have to ditch him. Elvis's music is everywhere, so Imma ditch him, too. So I guess Rod Stewart, and he sings every good big band/swing/standard ever written. :swooooooooooon:

PS - If I just happen to drop by for a visit with Cheezy when Seger is there, I'll hang around and listen. BIG FAN!!!

According to his recent autobiography, he has been out of it much of the last 40 years. He seems to have more of his doo-doo together now, though. I like his rock stuff ok, but you can REALLY tell his talent on the big band stuff. Sister is getting me his new Christmas CD for my birthday. :cheer1 :cheer1 :cheer1

Trust me, if I am ever lucky enough to have a private concert with Bob, I will have a grand party. But don't bother talking to me while he sings as I will not hear you. I have loved him for over 30 years... and cried when he cut his hair. Yeah, I really shed a few tears.

All good choices, but what about those great singers/musicians that were never filmed or recorded.
Or if they were recorded, there are no "live" concerts.
Wouldn't they make a good choice?
Isn't there anyone that you would take the opportunity to have play and/or sing for you.
I am a huge Elvis and Rod Stewart fan but I had chances to see them live and I have seen film concerts. Same for Sinatra.

I am not trying to criticize any choice, but you have all of music history to choose from.
So, think over your choices and see if you wish to stay with you current ones.
Notice I didn't mention Seager, anyone who cried when he cut his hair, is staying with Bob.
