This is new to me also, I didn't know we were divided into pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation or post-tribulation groups.
This must be something that started after I quit regular church going in 1978.
That is just what religion needs, to create another topic to divide it's people over.
(sorry, but that is how I feel)
Unfortunately stradial, there are some who divide themselves over this. I'll never understand these non essentials of Christianity that bring such a rift between believers.
I've never seen it create any kind of "rift," just a lot of really interesting discussion. :dunno
Oh, honey, I have. Peeps be gettin' all in a wad over this stuff. If you even HINT at not believing in the rapture in certain circles, you are put on the church prayer list and looked at in a very suspicious manner.
My pastor is a big pre-tribber, as is one of our Bible Study teachers. Truth be told, most of the folks in our church likely agree with the pastor. But, he knows that I have my doubts and I have had a lot of discussion with folks in our church about it and about how I grew up learning something different. And, it has come up in discussions with some of my other friends. But, it has never caused a rift or anything even close to getting panties twisted up. As for being on the church prayer list, well, I've been there a time or two, but never for that (
like the time I explained to the pastor that I am considered a "liberal lesbian" in some circles)...
