Perhaps. If you were writing a book about The History Of Giant Land Animals. But if you were writing a book about God and how He created us, how we were separated from Him by sin, and how He figured out a way (at great cost to Himself) to bring us back to Him, I can see how what happened to dinosaurs might not make the cut.

And I did it to take a slightly humorous approach at a serious matter. I find some fun in everything.

I know thats why you did it. :D But I would like some questions answered. And I promise to remove my tinfoil hat and cod piece. ;D

I figured you'd know why. ;)

What would cause the liquid to ignite? Also, it didnt mention what killed them off. Thats kinda something I would put in a book.

Many fossil dinosaur skulls contain unexplained, empty passages. Scientists have not been able to guess the reason for these passages. Would it make sense that some dinosaurs used these passages as “gas tanks” for the combustible mixture used to “breathe fire?” We believe it does.

And now for the key ingredient: fire. It is hard to read Job 41:18-21 without realizing the Bible is telling us that Leviathan breathes fire. That alone will eliminate almost every living animal. Yes, there is one animal like that in today’s world. It is called a bombardier beetle. This beetle is a native of Central America, and has a nozzle in its hind end that acts like a little flame thrower. It sprays a high-temperature jet of gas (fueled by hydroquinones and hydrogen peroxide with oxidative enzymes) for protection. Now, if a Central American beetle can do it, so could Leviathan.

I don't believe the authors KNOW that these are the explanations, but are offering explanations that are plausible. I'm certainly not a scientist. Many of your questions are valid, and will spur me to further study myself. :)

I keep tellin' y'all - it's HEATHERN. And there's lots of things not in the Bible. Volkswagens aren't in the Bible, for instance. But if you mean in the distant past only, then things like the Ice Age and other ancient goings-on aren't mentioned, either. I don't think the Bible was meant to be an all-encompassing historical document.

Is that the only reason you don't believe, or are there more reasons?

There are more reasons but lets be honest, the whole dinosaur thing was a pretty big deal. These giants roamed the earth, science has proved that. Then, they all died!!! More questions to come.

Agreed. I just don't see how that not being in the Bible has anything to do with whether or not the Bible is true. After all, according to dictionary.com, faith is

faith

faith
? ?[feyth] Show IPA
noun
1.
confidence or trust in a person or thing: faith in another's ability.
2.
belief that is not based on proof: He had faith that the hypothesis would be substantiated by fact.
3.
belief in God or in the doctrines or teachings of religion: the firm faith of the Pilgrims.
4.
belief in anything, as a code of ethics, standards of merit, etc.: to be of the same faith with someone concerning honesty.
5.
a system of religious belief: the Christian faith; the Jewish faith.

The second article IF referenced is quite interesting re: the dinosaur problem. Also, and apropos of nothing, this discussion made me think of the Giant Monitor Lizards (aka Komodo Dragons). 10' long, 4' tall, and eat men and goats. GAH!!!

Ok, once again, question left without a definitive answer. No biggie. Is there really a "Divine Plan"?

I don't understand why it's important to you. Kangaroos aren't mentioned in the Bible, or monarch butterflies, or poodles.

The Bible is not a comprehensive history; its focus might be considered pretty narrow: it's an account of the interaction between God and His people.

Refer to the FAITH part. Many things are left without definitive answers, and not just in the Bible. In real life, many things don't have answers, such as what is the cure for cancer. It's just the way things are.

RE: Divine Plan - Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." (New Living Translation)

If you want to, yes.

I'm thinking the hardest part might be figuring out how old the Earth really is. If dinosaurs roamed for millions of years why did it take so long for man to appear?? Did God create dinosaurs first??

I'm thinking the answers lie in your heart not in a book. Many things that are written in the bible have been confirmed by archeologists. While the bible is a Holy book, it is still a book and deals with Man's relationship with God.

Just to chime in here...

A lot of people try to use science to disprove the Bible and vice-versa. I do neither. I am a Christian, and I am a man of science.

One saying I like..."Science tells us how and the Bible tells us Why"

No no no. Just talking is something completely different than praying. Praying is asking for something, "Cure this person", "Bless this person", "Help me find a new job". Why ask for these things if God has it all planned out for you already?
