SCOTUS this week

Translated to, ''Black people lack the skills and intellect to succeed without the government's help.''
They are sending the wrong message to other black people. If they really cared, they would be raised like was, always being told I could achieve anything I wanted through hard work and dedication. I was also taught to learn from successful people, not that rich people were evil and I should envy them.

They are telling black people that they can't possibly succeed no matter what, especially on their own merit.. They are conditioning them to fail. That is a HUGE disservice to them

This is the modern day master/slave relationship between government and minority that existed pre-civil war. The slave owners provided shelter, food and protection no matter how minimal. In returned the slaves kept the owners at a financial advantage over them by doing most of the work with the owners receiving all the profit. Most of the slaves did not rebel against the owners despite outnumbering them on large farms anyway. The slaves were convinced they could not make it without the owner. Skip to today and you have the same scenario if you replace a vote for the work in the fields and liberal government for the owners.

And another good one.

Supreme Court STRIKES DOWN Biden's $400 billion student loan forgiveness: Justices rule president does not have authority to cancel debt of millions in another landmark ruling

The Bee is having all kinds of fun with this stuff

It won't be long before the Democrats start hollering; the SCOTUS got it wrong. Take note this ruling was made 6-3, just as the affirmative action reversal and Roe v. Wade. Six justices decide based on the Constitution, while three disregard the Constitution and vote in favor of liberal agendas.

All great rulings. AA is counter productive and discriminatory. You cannot end discrimination by doubling down and discriminating against another race. On the LGBT crap the government should not be able to tell businesses who they can or can't have as customers. If you don't like a businesses views on social issues don't do business with them. The whole student loan thing was a stupid idea from the beginning. A transparent attempt to buy votes. I wish I had of understood you can borrow as much as you want and never pay it back. I would not have worked my whole life to pay for my home and personal property.

Never disagreed about SCOTUS selections under Donnie Two Times. It shaped the court in the direction I support for years to come in. I have given him props for that from the beginning. However surely no one believes he went out and found these nominees on his own. They were presented to him by advisors and committees. He did make the appointments though and they were good ones. Also the Senate confirms these picks and like him or not ole Kentucky Windage McConnell did get them confirmed.

No doubt he had teams that lined up possible nominees, that's what executives do. But Trump has final say on who was sent to the Senate. And it appears he did put some effort into choosing people who would accurately interpret the constitution, which is the real duty of Justices.

Yes, way to go Trump! Great job picking from a list provided to you!

OK...enough patting Trump on the back. :D

These decisions and this discussion bring up a very important topic...the future of the SCOTUS. There may be some vacancies in the next 4 to 8 years. Polls have shown that Trump running as the Republican nominee will likely result in Biden/whomever winning in 2024 AND less Republican gains, or perhaps net losses, in Congress. Could that result in the dems stacking the court? They would love to do it.

They had that chance in 2020 yet did not. It’s a fear tactic used to rile the troops. Admittedly it’s a legit fear tactic though.
