Please fix the "New Topics" button

The new topics feature on this board is very problematic, we've discussed it before. It's actually unread posts. But she said that after she clicks and reads a post then clicks new topics again the topic she just posted in is still there and her post is notAnd if you're accessing from more than one device (ex: phone and computer) it can confuse it. That is true. It does get confused when you go between devices, but it should not as she posted the problem she is having :) Try just going into the individual forums instead and I think you'll find a lot of content you would have otherwise missed.

Also - If you haven't cleared cookies and cache since the move, you need to.

Thanks Diva - the New Topics button saved me a lot of time - I can just look to see what has been added since my last visit in all of the forums at once. I hope it gets fixed!

laptop, foxfire and the blackie theme

It has to be a theme then. Supporting multiple themes is really a pain in the butt as each theme has its own settings. Some things may work in one and not the other. Yet we want all of you to have a few themes to choose from. It is a Catch 22. Clearing cookies seems to be the best fix for most of the weird post issues. Not clearing your cache but also clearing the cookies, which is usually a separate option. If you need help doing that post what browser you are using and I can post some instructions on it.

If the new posts thing is working with your iPhone and the iPhone pulls up the proper theme, odds are your browser at home is the issue.

LisaC and I are using the same theme, but not the same browser. (She is having issues, I am not)

OK. LisaC please send me the browser you are using and I will send you instructions on how to properly clear your cookies. Then if it works you can make me some real cookies!

She is using IE and has said that she has cleaned the cache and cookies.

I am using Internet Explorer. I've followed our IT's dept.'s steps to clear it out, but if you have something more, please share.

And then, not only will I make you some real cookies, I will eat them for you too!!! I'm just that good of a friend!

I just posted something in the Tech board. I have issues with IE on my work laptop sometimes as they lock down certain stuff. That is why I installed Firefox and use it instead.

I don't have the option of choosing another browser here at work - we have Internet Explorer and are locked out from downloading any other alternatives.

And, I have something new for you. When I have a PM and I click on New Topics, I keep getting the PM message just as if a new message has come in (even though I've already read the PM).

And it gets better!!!! Now I get the PM notification when I click on Home too!! :cheer1 :cheer1 :cheer1 :cheer1

Oh I have had that before too. Did you read my topic in the Tech board on clearing the cache and cookies?

What happens when you view the site at home with IE?
