agreed... I think she needs to be put in a special home that will allow her to be happy. I never see the side of her that others talk about on another board

::ditto I have seen her in the store and turned the other way!

Awww, I love Miss Jesse. All you have to do is say Hey and she'll love you forever. Having grown up with two uncles that have severe autism, I guess it doesn't scare me at all.

When I found out I was expecting my youngest, my neighbor that I'd only known for a few months gave me a baby shower. It had been twelve years since I had a baby and I had NOTHING left. People I had never met brought gifts and made me feel so much a part of their neighborhood I was taken aback. I'd never seen such kindness in my life, but again, this was Old Paulding.......................almost 30 years ago. Before the influx of the mass migration. I'm still very close friends with many of those people even though I moved to Yorkville 20 years ago. They are awesome!!

The only times I've seen her, she was wagging her finger, or shaking a stick, and yelling. She really should live somewhere where she is taken care of, but I guess she doesn't want that.

That is incredibly sweet, but that has not been my experience with life long Paulding Co folks. :dunno

I'm sorry, my experience has only been positive. I love Paulding County and the people here. :love

I had great experiences in Paulding too. I found most of the people I met to be nice, thoughtful and very neighborly.

I've found many folks in New York to be short in their conversation, and a lot of them use foul language. They don't chat. That doesn't mean that they are unkind, and I guess if I was stuffed onto that 9 million person island all of my life, I would be that way too.

Once you get to know individuals better, they are mostly the same everywhere. I've worked with some very nice folks there, and some asshats too. Mostly nice though.

We had an installation crew working on a hotel on West 57th. They worked on closed floors and in the lobby all night for 2 months, and I was up there at least one or two days per week. We all got to know the locals around there fairly well, and made friends with the staff at a small deli around the corner. A waitress there forced me to try a tongue sandwich on the house (yuk). On our last day there they presented us with grits for breakfast. I have no idea where they got them, and they weren't the best, but we really appreciated the thought. They still send me a Christmas card every year, some 15 years later.

Yikes!

Here's my .02. I've never been to NYC. But MrB and I spent a week in Philly a couple of years ago. Wow. I was blown away by the amount of rude people. Everyone we encounters. Literally as soon as we got off the plane it started. I thought my husband was going to get into a fight before we got out of the airport. LOL The only friendly person we met was a bar owner who'd moved there with her husband from somewhere south. I hated it there.

On the same note, I'm not fond of GA either. But then again, I'm not the person to ask as I dislike most everybody. :laugh

I agree with what LTD brought up, that if I were surrounded by concrete and people most of my life I would probably be just as rude as the people I encountered on business trips to NYC.
That's why we moved to Paulding from Cobb to our little 4 acre plot of trees that completely surround our house as an insulator from neighbors.
