John Boehner (Breaking News)

:woohoo

That's the best happy dance we have.

I suspect it's directly related to Trump's poll numbers.

I had high hopes for him in the beginning. He could have done SO MUCH Good. He needs to go and I'm glad to hear it. :DN

He finally listened to all those messages I have been leaving on his FB page the past 4 -5 years.

:thumbsup

Not I, although I'd like to think so. I think it's directly related to the vote they were gonna have to try to oust him as speaker in October...he knew he didn't have the votes to overcome it.

Agreed. I don't think anything with Trump had anything to do with it. Now that doesn't mean Trump won't have a press conference before the day is over and take credit for it.

Some idiots on a forum elsewhere claim it's because the Pope chided him.

Why would that make them idiots? Or that it is hysterical? If he is a deeply religious man, which from what I understand he is a devout Catholic, I find that not such an unreasonable opinion. It could have been a or one factor that played into the decision to do it today.

While I doubt he will be worse, Boehner would not resign unless he knew there were enough votes to confirm his protege, Kevin McCarthy. McCarthy is the number two man and the next in line. Think Of McCarthy as the antithesis of a Tea Party candidate for the job and the RNC shill in waiting.

The same bunch that is railing about Church and State Separation regarding the Sheriff's cars is pitching a fit because congress didn't suck up to the Pope. Some of them are also claiming Boeher's resignation was because the Pope chewed him out.

It's ridiculous.

As usual, you are correct, sir.

The Pope chided him? I haven't been following the Popeapalooza, so I have no idea what's been going on except the little girl running to him that's now said was staged.

Seems like almost everything is staged these days. :(

If there's any truth to that then I suppose I do like the Pope, he should have visited several years ago. May Boehner made fun of his hat.
