They, Muslims, are all taught the Koran. The very teaching they follow teaches them that beheading non-Muslims is just, fair, and acceptable.

Ugh I typed out 3 paragraphs and my internet went down and it did not post.

Please understand that NOT all are taught that. Just as all are not taught that we literally have to follow all of the old testament. All Christians do not do the same things and all Muslims do not either. I do not know one Muslim that that thinks that beheading is okay. Not one thinks it is just, fair, or acceptable. (and I know Muslims, do you? I am really asking because I think some of the misconceptions and dislike so many have for certain people comes from not really knowing. Just what they know or read. Sometimes that does not paint the whole picture.)
I understand that in certain parts of the world they teach that, but I also understand that not all do. There are theologists and leaders of Muslims that have stated that and made arguments against killings and their take on what is being said. (ha, interpretations :whistle ) I do not have a link off the top of my head, but you can google and find those things if you are truly interested.
I just want people to understand that yes horrifying practices take place and are accepted by Muslims, but the same can be said for others and not all Muslims think that those things are okay.
What book do they follow, if not the Koran/Qaran? If they are following another line of teaching, are they indeed Muslim?

They do, but it is not as simple as that. Think my Catholic bible verses yours. Mine is different, yet the same, we have many differences on how we interpret scripture. We have Mary and saints, we confess, we have Heaven, Hell and Purgatory. Does that make more sense in what I am trying to say? :))

I have something like that, Heaven, Hell and.............Marriage.

Satan walks right into a church during Sunday morning service...The entire congregation jumps from their seats and run screaming out of the nearest side exits...well, almost everyone.

The preacher stood fast behind the pulpit and an older gentleman remained seated on the front pew after giving satan a glance and turning back to face the preacher.

Satan walks to the front of the church, scratching his chin. He looks at the preacher and says:

"I understand why you didn't run, preacher. You think your God can protect you, but..." he said, turning his attention to the old man, "you old man, why didn't you run?"

The old man just shrugs and says, "You don't scare me. I've been married to your sister for 42 years."

I understand what you are saying, but here's the thing. I can not, for the life of me, find anything in my bible (and I bet not yours either) where I'm told to behead unbelievers.

That is not the point, and since I know you and you are smart, I know you get that. ;)

P.S. In passing my sis told me that some of the beheading stuff is not in context of when they were told to behead. I will find out more when we have more than one minute to talk about this stuff. (We had family stuff to chat about) Maybe it is the interpretation stuff I was told about..I really do not know and can not answering correctly/factually right now.

Let's just say that I've heard far more violent stuff associated with that religion, than peaceful stuff. Brings to mind the spirit of Esau.

But you are going to hear more about the bad stuff than you will the good in most situations - that's what the media thrives on.

Yes, I do personally know Muslims.

I've worked with several Muslims in my job. I can tell you that, without fail, the men have had zero respect for the American justice system. They can lie to their attorney, a judge, and on a witness stand without flinching. They pass money through their family system to hide it from their wives and the court. They are completely dishonest in every step of the process. One man who brought his wife and family to America for "a better life" stated during the divorce process that she "became too western".

Our mail lady, and I, were talking about this subject just this morning. She knows several Muslims, and told me this morning that they are not as "peaceful" as they would like us to believe.

One in particular, we were able to trace a connection to the Muslim Brotherhood and know he was funneling money to that organization. He had been married to his American wife for 10 years and she had "no idea".

I am sorry your interaction with Muslims have been not great. Though I would assume in your job your interaction with many people have not been great. :(

Fanatics are bad, no matter what they are fanatic about.

“I hope all of you will use the principals of Allah to bring peace and justice to all.” Jimmy Carter
“One thing that all men can do is to be sure that you treat your wife as you would like to be treated yourself,” Carter said, amid cheers. “My hope is all Christians, all Muslims, all people of other faiths, even those who don’t have one, will join in this crusade to end the plight of our wives, our sisters, our daughters.”

Above from his speech.

Is he speaking of the 5 Pillars of Islam when he said that principals of Allah are key?

Faith or belief in the Oneness of God and the finality of the prophethood of Muhammad;
Establishment of the daily prayers;
Concern for and almsgiving to the needy;
Self-purification through fasting; and
The pilgrimage to Makkah for those who are able.

Book 001, Number 0029:
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) breathed his last and Abu Bakr was appointed as his successor (Caliph), those amongst the Arabs who wanted to become apostates became apostates. ‘Umar b. Khattab said to Abu Bakr: Why would you fight against the people, when the Messenger of Allah declared: I have been directed to fight against people so long as they do not say: There is no god but Allah, and he who professed it was granted full protection of his property and life on my behalf except for a right? His (other) affairs rest with Allah. Upon this Abu Bakr said: By Allah, I would definitely fight against him who severed prayer from Zakat, for it is the obligation upon the rich. By Allah, I would fight against them even to secure the cord (used for hobbling the feet of a camel) which they used to give to the Messenger of Allah (as zakat) but now they have withheld it. Umar b. Khattab remarked: By Allah, I found nothing but the fact that Allah had opened the heart of Abu Bakr for (perceiving the justification of) fighting (against those who refused to pay Zakat) and I fully recognized that the (stand of Abu Bakr) was right.

Book 001, Number 0030:
It is reported on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people so long as they do not declare that there is no god but Allah, and he who professed it was guaranteed the protection of his property and life on my behalf except for the right affairs rest with Allah.

Book 001, Number 0031:
It is reported on the authority of Abu Huraira that he heard the Messenger of Allah say: I have been commanded to fight against people, till they testify to the fact that there is no god but Allah, and believe in me (that) I am the messenger (from the Lord) and in all that I have brought. And when they do it, their blood and riches are guaranteed protection on my behalf except where it is justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah.

Book 001, Number 0032:
It is narrated on the authority of Jabir that the Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded that I should fight against people till they declare that there is no god but Allah, and when they profess it that there is no god but Allah, their blood and riches are guaranteed protection on my behalf except where it is justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah, and then he (the Holy Prophet) recited (this verse of the Holy Qur’an):” Thou art not over them a warden” (lxxxviii, 22).

I asked specifically if he was speaking about the 5 Pillars. Jimmy Carter and the speech. I will watch it later and find out.

I don't know. But not all of the teachings of Allah are peaceful. Some of them are what is driving the extremists.
