Former President Jimmy Carter told the Islamic Society of North America that “the principles of Allah” are the key to peace in the Middle East, according to the Gateway Pundit.

http://youngcons.com/wow-jimmy-carter-tells-islamic-conference-that-principles-of-allah-are-key-to/
“I hope all of you will use the principals of Allah to bring peace and justice to all.” Jimmy Carter
“One thing that all men can do is to be sure that you treat your wife as you would like to be treated yourself,” Carter said, amid cheers. “My hope is all Christians, all Muslims, all people of other faiths, even those who don’t have one, will join in this crusade to end the plight of our wives, our sisters, our daughters.”

Above from his speech.

Is he speaking of the 5 Pillars of Islam when he said that principals of Allah are key?

Faith or belief in the Oneness of God and the finality of the prophethood of Muhammad;
Establishment of the daily prayers;
Concern for and almsgiving to the needy;
Self-purification through fasting; and
The pilgrimage to Makkah for those who are able.

You posted the stuff after his speech in the article. You did not answer my question. ;) I am pretty sure he did not say those things and that is the stuff in reference to ISIS and terror attacks. I asked specifically if he was speaking about the 5 Pillars. Jimmy Carter and the speech. I will watch it later and find out.

I don't know. But not all of the teachings of Allah are peaceful. Some of them are what is driving the extremists.

:spitchick I think we have covered that...once or twice. I really was interested and will watch later what his speech was and how he incorporated both the Bible and Quran into it.

I like these quotes from his speech:

“The abuse of women and girls is the worst human rights issue not being addressed on Earth,” he said to a crowd of about 1,100 following a luncheon at Cobo Center. Regarding the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and Israel, he said everyone, including Palestinians, deserve “peace, freedom and justice.”
Noting that Islam is based on tenets similar to that of Christianity, he said all religions should work toward peace. “After I leave here tonight, I will be teaching Sunday Bible school tomorrow.”

If the Palestinians want peace all they have to do is recognize Israel's right to exist.

As long as there are muslims in the ME, you will never have peace. They are not a peaceful group according to their own beliefs. It sickens me to see others fooled by the "peace" mask they present.

If they are not a peaceful group, then why aren't we seeing more attacks? I did a quick google search and there appears to be approximately 1.6 BILLION Muslims in the world (23% of the world's population). You would think that with a number that high - we would be seeing regular attacks here in the United States. :dunno

You may want to learn the difference between Muslims and Islamists.

Just because they aren't 100% focused on the US doesn't discredit my remarks. Good gracious, look at ALL the places muslims inherit and tell me what you think. 95% of all hot spots in the world are muslim problems. It's just that up till now, we've been able to protect ourselves. I don't think you'll have such a privilege much longer because of our current president and all the American muslim pacifist in this country. Waking up after your wearing a sheet over your head and bowing 5 times toward Mecca is too late.

Nope.

A reletivily small percentage of Germans fought in their military during WWII, but we went to war with the whole country.
