Interesting polls

I think we all agree here that the Republicans suck as playing dirty, and even at playing clean sometimes, so that's not in question.

However, I'm a bit appalled that your defense to this is basically; one side cheated and the other didn't, so the one who didn't lost.

Is this what we've come to?

Depends on how you define cheating. Many states approved mail-in voting correctly. Some others approved it despite maybe not having the power to do so. Regardless of how mail-in voting got approved, the option to use it was available for both sides. One did and one didn't. The one that did, won the election.

Ballot harvesting is wrong, even if it skirts the rules that were too quickly thrown together. And technically, it was illegal even then, but no one seemed the least bit interested in so much as taking a look at it.

Why? Because it was not cool at the time to appear to be on Trump's side? I mean, look at what they have done to Giuliani and others who supported him. Or because of possible racial implications?

Stacy Abrams bragged about turning out many thousands of new votes. OK, she didn't come out and admit that her people were giving out bottles of booze or gift cards to fill out a ballot, but people knew what she was up to. There's a reason the General Assembly stepped in and removed Raffy from the election committee and rolled back his powers.

I wonder, if we swapped DeSantis for Trump in the 2020 election if you would feel differently?

From Nov of 2020

Stacey Abrams registered 800,000 new voters. Funny how a lot of them didn't vote again in 2022.

Go back to the 1992 election where 103.8 million voted. Then go to the 1996 election and you'll see only 94.6 million voted. What happened to 9.2 million voters?

Still not much movement in polls right now. The MSM is trying yet again to make it appear Biden is doing better than he really is; I saw two articles over the weekend claiming Biden was leading Trump in the polls. But the articles are misleading; only the more fringy polls show Biden leading, and it's most in a 2-way match-up, which is not what we will have. The polls for 5-way match-ups mostly show Trump ahead, especially the more legitimate pollsters.

No toss-up map still shows Trump easily winning. https://www.realclearpolling.com/maps/president/2024/no-toss-up/electoral-college

Battleground state polls all have Trump leading. Again, this is likely where the race will be decided. https://www.realclearpolling.com/elections/president/2024/battleground-states

Biden job approval rating is just terrible! Why would anyone vote for this disaster? https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/approval/joe-biden/approval-rating

Biden approval ratings on the issues. Again, just terrible! https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/approval/joe-biden/issues

While abortion remains an issue for Republicans, including Trump; it has been partially overshadowed by the war in Israel, the economy, and the border. All three of the latter are hurting Biden, and they could get worse.

It appears dissatisfaction for Biden from minorities is real and getting worse. While I don't expect African Americans to flip to GOP anytime soon, I think a significant percentage of them are leaning Trump because of economic issues. And, I suspect many others just won't show up to vote because they are not motivated. Hispanics are also leaving Biden. This election aside, I I hope we're seeing the beginning of the end of the Democrat's lock on minorities. I believe many are finally seeing through the rhetoric and are realizing what the left's policies have actually done to them.

Still, we have about 6 months to go, and there are a few possible scenarios that could change everything.

Gaza truly is a no win for Biden. Support Israel, the young and idiots are unhappy. Screw Israel, the elder and Christians that remember history are unhappy. Both are big groups. He's trying to straddle the middle right now, which is ticking off both sides...
