Hubster and I do the same thing... ask for ID. We are very appreciative when they actually ask for it.
I used to work from home for a credit card company. When I'd issue a new card, especially to elderly folk, I would kinda nudge them into writing that on their card and explain why. Each and every time I was thanked profusely. I hate it when elderly are screwed over and want to beat the hell out of people who do it. Sorry, that is for another thread.
