I would like to state for the record (once again) that ...

GAH!!! I hate that!!! When we get old, you and I are gonna find a place on 500 acres out in the middle of nowhere and move there, and we won't ever have to see anyone ever again. And if you'd rather, we can build two little houses so we don't have to see each other if we don't want. ;)

I sowwy, sweetie. :( :hug
That's funny. :laugh

:D I'm actually an extrovert, but the older I get and the more I see, the more introverted I get. I keep saying I'm close to becoming a hermit. ;)

Yeah, you refuse to meet us good and harmless (thong wearing) people.

I ain't skeeeeered of you!

Or your three bewbies!

I ran a damn thug off this past Sat around midnight at my house. I was in the garage and had the door cranked open a bit for my dog. I heard some rustlin in the leaves and a low voice said something about a dog, then my dog barked and I told him to hush assuming it was the next door neighbor, and I all heard was fast footsteps running. I went out the front door watching a thug high tailing it down the street and a car cruising without the lights on pick him up. I reported it. Sure enough, they were scoping the hood for unlocked vehicles as some of my neighbors cars had things stolen. Always LOCK your vehicle

Report filed with Cobb PD and security footage being saved/burned from multiple locations.

Good. It makes me sick to think of someone doing that! Go to work and use your own dang money. :rant

:hug
And I'd also like to put a boot in the a$$ of the cashiers that did not follow policy that requires ID when plastic is used.

You might not have to when you card company charges the store back for the purchase. The store manager may do it for you. :Stick

I worked fraud from 1992 to 1996 and took GREAT delight in locking these people up. I know it's a pain, but I'm sure you signed all the affidavits to get credit for the charges, right?

You can't always catch ALL these people ALL the time, but they will not change their behavior and will get snatched up at some point. :rant Because when they get away with it a few times, they get more bold and keep doing it until someone puts a gun in their ear.

Good luck on finding a cashier who asks for ID.
A buddy of mine instead of signing his name on the back, always wrote "Ask for ID".
He said only once had that happened, even when they looked at the back of the card.

I am the same way.
My wife's son was talking one day about what he would do if he won the Lotto.
He said he would buy a large piece of land and build his family a nice house and his mom & I a nice house next door.
I said; that is real nice of you to say that, but you won't come visit will you?
He just looked at his mom and she said; he isn't kidding.
We were newly married at that time and due to my wife being one of those; sure bring the whole family and stay for a week; type of people I have gotten a little better. Not much, but a little.

Real good advice!

A couple of years ago my wife had several hundreds of dollars worth of Christmas presents for the grandkids stolen out of her car while it was parked in our driveway.
I was on the phone with an old friend ranting and raving about her not locking the car doors.
When I stopped to breath, my friend said; "Don't be to hard on her, I'm sure she learned her lesson and it won't happen a second time."
"NO!", I answered "It won't happen a second time! This is the third time!"
My friend replied, quietly, "Oh. Then I got nothing."

I've had plenty ask to see ID. Particularly when using it as credit. I had a cashier ask for ID on a debit purchase the other day.

I do that as well. I actually had a cashier tell me I had to sign my name on the back of the card before she would allow me to use it. I told her to look at my ID. She said she didn't have to look at my ID, just my signature on the back of my card. I asked her if she could tell or not if the card was stolen because of the signature on the back? She said "Yes." I asked how. She said, "If the card has a signature, it ain't stolen." I said forget it and walked off leaving the items behind and unpaid for. That was at Walmart folks, but stupid cashiers are everywhere.

Every time a cashier asks to see my ID when I use my card, I thank them for doing the right thing.

:faint I'm not even going to comment on her stupidity. Ye gods...there are so many things wrong with her thinking. Moron. I also thank people who ask for my ID.
