Ferguson decision

aka "The Jackal"
You might remember that I said that Johnathan Turley was the guy you wanted on your side in a courtroom battle. Of course his specialty is constitutional law, particularly the separation of powers. But while he has openly admitted to being liberal in his politics, he is no partisan hack. He has defended both Republican and Democratic politicians in trials, as well as fought vigorously for personal freedoms. His "cause" however seems to be devoid of a descriptive letter in parenthesis. I predict that he will be appointed as a judge in the DC District quite soon, perhaps by the next president, if he will accept the appointment. If he isn't, it is because that president is looking for someone who will toe the line, JMHO

Anyway, his take on Ferguson hits the nail on the head, and being completely apolitical, is quite refreshing. Regardless of what the rioters plan to do, the evidence is beginning to speak for itself.

"Once again, any of those [potential] charges in my view would require more evidence than is currently known. The injuries to Wilson, the firing of the weapon in the vehicle, the blood of Brown on the weapon as well as reported witness testimony supporting Wilson undermine any criminal charge. However, there is obviously more evidence and testimony that is known to the grand jury."

There you have it.

I'm just praying things stay settled down in the area for at least another day, we have a driver loading in Fenton, MO today which is 30 miles southwest of Ferguson and will take up to 6 hours to get loaded. The driver will then have to take 270 around to the north side of Saint Louis which is very close to Ferguson. We don't need any freight claims due to stupidity.

Most property insurance won't cover "riot or insurrection" either. I'm betting they will dump it Wednesday late afternoon.

That's what my husband and I discussed.

Correct, but we do have a signed contract with the carriers which does cover it. I'd rather just avoid the entire situation.

And maintain the safety of the driver.

I told 'em do it 6pm Wednesday evening and pray for cold and snow/heavy rain. We'll see if they listen to me.

News conference scheduled for 4PM if all parties can be assembled, 7PM if not. Governor is in St. Louis. -Washington Post

I just spoke with the driver, he's almost loaded and ready to roll. I told him to get north of 270 as quickly as possible and don't stop for fuel or dinner until he's clear of the area. He agreed.

I fear it will be ugly no matter what the decision.
They have been planning this riot for months, they have bussed in participants, they have a command and control system, and they have picked targets. They will riot.

I meant to say that Turley is legit. I don't always agree with his politics, but he's totally intelligent. Also, he's been hired by the House of Rep. to sue President Obama over the Obamacare overreach (IIRC that's what the suit was about).

Here we go, folks.

This is just my opinion, but I think they're doing it so late so they can be sure everything is barricaded, have buildings on lockdown, and the police force mobilized and ready because there isn't going to be an indictment. And all Hell will be breaking loose.

I'm of the same opinion.

I think the reason is to give people time to get home from work so they aren't on the roads commuting home when the announcement is made. This is to keep more people safe instead of being yanked from their vehicles and being beaten like what happened after the Rodney King riots.
