Fedex low cost shipping is back to it's old tricks...

Gotta give credit where credit is due

Amazon is on their game! I've been ordering like crazy from them lately (not all speakers) and only one package has been a day late. All the rest have been on time.

That's pretty impressive considering it's right before Christmas.

This may sound odd, but I get annoyed when Amazon delivers packages early. Sometimes I select Amazon Day Delivery specifically so it'll come on a day I'll be at home, but they frequently deliver those a day early.

Latest my package left norcross on the 17th and still is "on the truck for delivery". A package left the uk on the same day
and got here monday via royal post. I call the 18004633339 number everyday and they tell me the same, it is on the truck.
The person I talked to this morning told me called the driver to confirm. They lie.

Well, I've got one coming Fedex again. My backup external drive died, so to try to keep from ordering everything from Amazon, I ordered from B&H Photo and its' coming Fedex.

Scheduled for Wed, but with the snow up there, I figure that's a dream.

I'm impressed. My package went straight through Austell and arrived today as promised.

Now if the stupid manufacturer had included the weird ass USB3 cable that the drive requires, I might be able to use it. Back to Amazon...

Well, turned out the cable was buried under the manual. My faith in WD is restored....

Something must have happened, I got a package Sunday that didn't expect to get through Austell. It
was only in Austell for minutes and the driver left in mail box instead of in the ditch like last time.
UPS driver said he saw fed ex people all over the place Sunday. Any chance the cleaned house?

I missed the announcement of the Amazon / Fedex merger. Anyone else see it?

:sarcastic:

Placed an order about 10 days ago, from Amazon but third party merchant.

Got a notification they next day that they had shipped, and via FedEx.

Crap! I knew there would be problems!

Been watching it, package had sat at an out of state terminal for 3-4 days, but then got an email this morning that it would be delivered today by 8:00. My first reaction was, yeah right, but I watched the status monitor all day and it was moving...got right down to a tick from "Delivered".

And then I get an email right at 8:00; Package Delayed. Exception, Austell.

Wish I could say I'm surprised.

I changed vendors for car parts because of fed ex. It took three weeks to get parts that came from
atlanta through one vendor because they only use fed ex. Plus they never answer the phone.
I ordered a water pump thursday and it is on the usps truck to my house today from new vendor.

Klipsch RP-280F

They ran these babies at less than half price, so I grabbed a pair.

Latest layout in the theater room.

The tall speakers with the copper conesa re the new ones. Now that they have some break-in time on them, they really sound nice. Klipsch has fixed the "shrillness" problem with the RP series; titanium tweeters and a rubber coating on the horn has tamed them down a bit. These are for the music system and play with the subs with the gold cones, though they don't come in until 60 hz now.

The others are for the theater audio.

The only other thing I might do at some point is to buy another Monolith sub (sub on far right) so I have a matching pair. But they are kinda proud of them, so will probably be awhile. The bass will rumble your butt cheeks as it is.
