Fedex low cost shipping is back to it's old tricks...

Sound Daughter ordered a few items from her work "Rewards Center" It shipped via Fedex on June 4th, finally came in on the 21st after an extended stay in Ellenwood, GA just like my "free" RC car last year. (It spent a week there)

I ordered some pool supplies that shipped via fedex freight on June 15th. They are now stuck in the the Austell Hub, having had one delivery exception already for the "Barcode label unreadable and replaced". It takes a day to put a new label on?

Any bets on what this 30 lb package looks like after being in the system for 8 days of shipping? :)
 
give us time it probably is in a tz trailer sitting in the lot we will get it out and yes it will be a bit beat up b/c some of those guys doo like to throw it into trailers our pre sort is understaffed
 
Thanks UGA - It actually showed up on the second try and wasn't in too bad of shape.

I think everyone is understaffed these days.
 
I cringe every time I see I have a package shipped via FedEx.

UPS isn't much better.

Worse still...there are many small shippers who have popped up to fill the void. They are just terrible! "She who adores me" has ordered from Bath and Body Works three times, and they have shipped via one of the independents. She has yet to get a single package. BBW has refunded all three.

Truth is, they usually do better than the other guys.

The USPS does a pretty good job, but retailers don't seem to be using them as much now. Maybe their rates went up. One would think the USPS would be able to deliver small packages more efficiently than anyone, given that they have the infrastructure in place. But being a pseudo-government agency, maybe not.

We're running into that at work, and then the customer doesn't want to pay the NDA freight.
 
I just ordered some stuff and paid for 4 day delivery, Fed Ex delivered it in 2 days!!! I'm wondering how they got their wires crossed.
 
I've got a new phone coming from Texas via FedEx. It is scheduled for delivery on Tuesday but I'm hopeful FedEx will work some magic and deliver it tomorrow. Wishful thinking but a man can dream!
 
My package finally showed up. It spent 6 days in the Austell fed ex jail. Took several phone calls to
fed ex including the main office before they "found" it. This is the third time this has happened to me
since the so called covid.
 
I ordered an item from Monoprice. OK, it's a speaker, I realize that's a shocker. Shipped FedEx.

Was supposed to be delivered yesterday, didn't make it. Tracking now says no scheduled delivery date.

Any bets on when or if I'll get it?

If it's going through Austell, my money is on Jan 2022.
