Do you send food back at a restaurant?

A good medic could bring mine back. :))

My wife is the same way.
I have never heard her say, this is not cooked enough.

Over easy means whites cooked, yolk completely runny. They had the white and the yolk runny. It was gross. The white wasn't even just runny ... it was raw. And it wasn't just the "bubble" of white that was raw ... somehow they managed to keep even the thinner area of the white runny on one side. Salmonella anyone? :))

Actually, over medium is whites done/ yellow runny. I was told this 20 some odd years ago by a very nice waitress at WH because I ordered them over easy and they were raw. I felt really bad about sending them back but I couldn't eat raw eggs.
My whites weren't loose, they were raw. That aside, WH seems to be the only place that considers runny/raw egg whites to be part of an over easy egg. They may choose to call it that but they are wrong. The variations on the over egg are all about the yolk.

I really wasn't trying to be mean about the egg thing, I promise. I always order over medium and they are cooked to perfection. This is at any place in which I order fried eggs. We went to Rodney's a few weeks ago and ordered eggs over medium (both me and the hubster) Mine came out cooked through, whatever you might call that. His were over medium. Our server didn't bring the food but she came just after the plates were laid out. She stopped mid sentence and took my plate back to the kitchen saying they are not over medium. I didn't even have to say anything.

That said, please know I was not intending to be 'in your face' about over easy vs over medium. :hug

I do love my steak medium rare. If it's on the rarer side of MR, I will eat it and love it. Much over medium... I feel as though it must go back. I really can't remember when or even if I sent a steak back. :cheer1

I've sent food back on occasions. Usually it's a steak not cooked to how I ordered it. I like mine medium well and if it comes back well done or rare, I send it back. When ordering a baked potato, I order it with butter only as I don't like sour cream on mine. If it comes back with sour cream, I send it back. There have been a few times were I have received a cold baked potato.

You're not getting off that easy ... where's the pool of Jello? It's time to settle this.

:laugh

:love :hug It's all good, cheezed one.

Everything I eat is cooked so I rarely have to send anything back. Keep flirting with death and that undercooked food will come back to bite you.

"Pool of Jello"?

This could be interesting. I think I could market it as a DallasHwy pay-per-view event and make some $$$$

I don't mind voice mail - it helps me avoid the people that like to ramble...
