Note to self (and others): do not use celery with pot roast. Yuk. I tossed it in since it was there, but it wasn't much. It gave a gross flavor to the potatoes and carrots. Celery and beef don't mix. Lol

What did you do to it? I've put celery, onions, potatoes and carrots with pot roast and it turns out yummy. :dunno

I have been waiting since she posted that for one of you to pipe in!! ) When I make that for the family I put in celery and they always tell me it is good. Since I do not eat meat I have never tasted it. When I read Mrs. B's post, I thought husband has been lying to me that he liked it for 20 years! :laugh

I can't for the life of me imagine what she could have done - celery actually helps the flavor IMO, so I'm curious about her recipe.

Suggestion, instead of actually chopping fresh celery use celery seed seasoning.......does wonders. :thumbsup

LOL, no I did what I normally do and tossed in celery as well. I don't care much for celery unless it's in a chicken soup or alone. It just gave a different flavor to what we are used to. Lol
