Am I wrong for being angry?

All the parks where we play football are the same. You can have a team cooler for the players, but no spectator coolers.

One made me pour out my McDonald's coffee at the gate or finish it before I went in (had to be there at 8am on a Saturday!!!).
This might sound bad, but I would have taken my kid and left. Really. I understand they want to sell water/soda, which half the time is warm because it was underestimated how much they would sell, but you do not have me pour out my coffee. Now for years I have gone to the Austin Middle School games and I will say not once have I been asked to do that. (and every single week I have my Starbucks travel mug with me. :)) )

It was actually at a McEachern game. I had taken it with me because I was almost done and wanted to finish. I did finish. Then REFUSED my family ANY purchases at their precious concession stand. They lost more money by making me finish my last few sips at the gate.
:thumbsup

My son had football workouts for an hour and a half tonight. 45 mins in the weight room doing some conditioning (no weights) and about 40 mins outside (no running today). He had water before, half way through and when it was over.

So update on the cooler situation:

On Saturday they had the park security going around telling people to take their coolers back to their cars. He came up to our team and told us to take all coolers back to our cars. I said I don't have a cooler, just my bag. He said well bags are fine, just no coolers. What he didn't realize was all of us that had bags was actually insulated cooler bags :laugh. Their joke of a concession stand was only selling water and gatorade and fruity candy. So needless to say none of us purchased anything from their concession stand. We all had our own in our "bags" :laugh Our kids did really great in that horrible heat. We all kept them hydrated before the game and during.

Yesterday we went back and saw everyone with coolers and the concession stand was closed. Seems the girl that sat in that concession trailer on Saturday only sold like 3 bottles of water total and nothing else :laugh :laugh so they didn't even have it open. They didn't say anything to anyone about coolers at all yesterday. One of our parents was talking to the director and he said the main reason they stopped coolers was because of people bringing in beer to the games. She said well then why don't you guys just have someone checking the coolers instead of making others suffer. She knew that excuse was just stupid..they were trying to get money for whatever organization was running the concession stand but it backfired on them. They were not selling food of any kind because they couldn't find anyone that would work the grill. Don't blame them...it was just to hot. Overall the games went without any problems and our boys came in 2nd place...only lost the championship game by 1 run ;D
