A conversation about race

This is great, but he's a white guy stating this. When will the black O'Reillys start stating it?
I know one thing we as white folks can do, we can make sure that our children don't buy into the liberal excuses, in order to excuse the behavior of their non-white peers. Because, as long as there are white folks who fall for the same black excuses this will continue.
 
It is very obvious that black and white cannot live together; blacks hate whites and yell race for everything! Just seeing the hate in their eyes and actions during the rallies scares me. They fear their own and have bars on their doors and windows in their living areas and move to white areas to be safe but yet protect those same black thugs. None of us are safe now. We have nothing in common; we don't socialize together - even at work we are in our own groups. TOO late now, but we should have never been thrown together. We ALL deserve equal rights, but apart! Blacks will make the whites pay forever. I want to leave in peace again and feel safe, but where? I get really stressed with all this hate and just wish we could all live together, but that will never happen.
 
It is a socio-economic issue moreso than a race one that is really at the root of the problems you refer to SG, at least in my experience. Middle class, upper-middle class, and affluent communities just don't have those same feelings ... not generally speaking. And then you look at the whys and you get into the values and self respect and accountability and education, etc. that are valued, shared, taught, and so on there and the answer seems pretty clear. To me anyway.

I agree. I have a friend who has 4 sons, 2 of them are in college, and the other 2 are my son's age. All 4 of them know that they have to work for what they have. No, unfortunately the father is not around, however that did not stop her from pushing those boys in the right direction. Yes, unfortunately she did vote for Obama. But, our friendship is more then politics.
I also have a friend that has 5 boys. Truthfully I fear that they will fall into a life of crime, and/or mediocrity. She is a widow, her husband died last year.
What is the difference? My friend with 4 boys is black, my friend with 5 boys is white.

I know many of multicultural family's that work amazingly together.. this is just an opinion that they can not live together....Thankfully everyone does not believe this muck

I look at people as a PERSON, A HUMAN. I react to their actions. I know just as many white trash redneck people that I do Ghetto Fabulous...both get on my
nerves

This kiddie song said it best...Red, Yellow, Black and white they are precious in his sight

ALso I have a Black boss for the 1st time...he by far has treated me better than any white boss I have ever had....

Once people start treating everyone like a person with feelings this world will be better. This race crap is for the bird on both the White, Black, Mexican, asian and what ever other races I left out
 
I find a lot of things people say to be offensive but they have the right to say them and if I expect to be able to post without being attacked, no matter how stupid I can be at times, I need to be able to afford the same to others. I found the post to be one that goes completely against my experiences in life and against pretty much everything that I believe but there is nothing good to come from attacking the poster.

I do not see my post as an attack other than just a statement

I didn't claim that anyone attacked. I understand the feelings but we need to remain civil in our responses ... as has been the case so far. That's all ... not saying anyone was out of line.

GD and I have a "special" relationship but if I "go after" someone here you should point it out to me. Yes. Everyone makes mistakes and I am far from being an exception to that rule.

I am glad you cleared that up because I could not figure out where you were coming from. :dunno (based on the others responses) And I am not really sure why you felt you had to say that. :dunno

I am waiting on SG's response. It had to have been sarcasm or tongue in cheek, because I really have a very hard time believing it is real. Separate but still equal? None of us are safe? They fear their own? No way this was a real post.
 
I'm having a hard time a lot lately with getting words right with speech as well as typing. Flippinmeds on top of some other stuff ... I usually end up reading things a couple times before posting. I was trying to compliment the restraint shown by the deleting that had been mentioned.

Maybe I just need to take a break for a while. If it's gotten bad enough that my friends on here can't decipher my intent it might be best not to post til they get me sorted out ... Y'all might haveme labeled the next liberal lesbian or something. LOL

The only LL that I know that I know likes Florida in the summer so right off I know she's not mentally balanced. Otherwise, a pretty good chicka though.

Most of the Ls that I know are conservatives. Go figure. (At least the ones that I know are L and whose politics I know.)
 
Sorry for offending anyone, but that is JMO, and we all have that right. I am just sad and sickened that we cannot all live and work together, and I do so want to live in peace again. This crime, killing, rioting, fighting, anger, hate is not something I have ever been able to understand or deal with. We just need love and God back in our lives and sure haven't seen much of that lately. Why is it so hard to live by the 10 commandments? Yes, I love my neighbor(s) but I fear many now. :(

I agree. And, how can you (the proverbial you) expect to have a civil discussion, and for things to get better, if opinions are attacked? :dunno

I've been offended several times and walked away. It's really not that hard. :whistle

This is what The Hwy is all about. Take note, people.

I have left two forums because of posters who jumped on others just because they disagreed with them. We started The Hwy as a place where that is not allowed.

In my opinion, some apologies are in order.
