9/11 School Threats...

I'm pretty sure that dude has already been to Stoned Mountain.
In fact, I would bet he lives there.

There are a lot of people trying to grab attention by claiming and/or tying into the FYF movement.

Here is the best info I have found so far:

"Reports say the movement was begun by a woman named Carol Sullivan. Multiple social media sited refer to groups holding “the Imperial powers” accountable thata day for many things, including the 9/11 attacks.
A website claiming to belong to organizers calls the planned act, “the most powerful movement in the world right now.” It goes on to explain what’s planned.
“We, the people, are psychologically and physically breaking free of the imperialist, colonialist, and racist empires by burning representations starting on September 11th 2015.
Why September 11th? We recognize that these imperial powers attacked their own citizens on 9/11 in an attempt to gain more power from its people.
We are not disrespecting any citizen that may have died during these attacks on this day, instead we are acknowledging that, from this day forward, we are holding ALL imperial nations responsible for their needless deaths!
On 9/11 we will be burning American flags, confederate flags, police uniforms, and ALL representations of organized evil and oppressive nations.”
Other reports say some black radicals are piggybacking onto the movement, calling for more violent acts."

I've got my location covered and it will be locked up tight as a tick tomorrow, just as it is each day. :police

Thank you for everything you do, GC. Proud to know we're in the same family. :love

My kids stayed home. Silly? Maybe. But in the grand scheme of things, it's one day. They were truly afraid because some numnutt (well, I know who) directed them to watch the video posted by Shoe Diva above.

We sent the kiddo because I really did not want to explain
this awful terrible crap fest to a happy smiley five year old.

She loves school and would have questioned staying home...

I will not let those bastards ruin her childhood innocence.

:girlsaysno

Mine is at school. It seems that all our sheriff's (at least those close by) posted the same statement verbatim. I'm glad to know they are vigilant, even when threats aren't deemed credible.

You're right, Madea. Kids shouldn't have to live under these types of threats. Thankfully, mine didn't mention seeing any of the threats, and he wasn't concerned at all (or he would have asked me about it.)

I am praying, as always, today will end as an uneventful one. As more and more time goes by, I fear our chances of another major attack increase. :(

I could not believe how many posted that video. :( It scared a lot of them.

Quite honestly, the princess's school didn't issue a single comment about it and there was no thought about whether she would or wouldn't go to school today.

And she came home proudly sporting her big glittery US flag T shirt... :love

(and told me that only 6 of her classmates showed up today... ) :(

I still caint figure out how to post my phone pictures... :BH
All my photos on my phone upload to photobucket and then I can post them. I have not posted directly from my phone gallery.

A Facebook friend of mine posted yesterday about how she explained 911 to her 3 year old in the car on her way to work. I couldn't believe she told her three year old.

I sent both of my kids. I figured with all of the extra law enforcement it's probably safer than most days.

I've explained it as best you can to a five year old.

She wanted to know why we have "Patriot Day..."

I think my daughter was probably around 5 when I delicately explained it to her. My son will be 5 next month and I know that he is not emotionally mature enough to handle it. He still freaks out everytime it rains because he thinks he's going to get struck by lightning. I explained the dangers of him being outside while its lightning long ago but he still worries about it regardless of my reassurances that he won't get struck by lightning inside. We will cross the 911 bridge when we get there I guess.

When my dad was a little boy, he and a friend got caught out in the woods in a thunder storm.
Lightning struck a tree right next to them.
My father never got over his fear, concern or whatever it was, about lightning.
When we would have a real bad storm, he would go and sit on the top steps of the stairs down to the basement.

Some people freak out over spiders, little spiders that are not within 3' of them.

Everyone has something that really scares them, with me, it's the ex.
