9/11 School Threats...

I am sure some of you have seen the threats or FB rumors of threats
of violence against schools and law enforcement slated for tomorrow.

What do you make of this and will you be keeping your kids home ? ? ?

Any information or news reports you can provide would be helpful,
I dread the anniversary and now I have a new reason to be nervous.


Maybe we should just take a trip to the zoo instead.... :whistle
 
It will be okay. :hug Sadly it happens pretty much every year. People suck. That is a day to remember not worry about our children in school.
 
There's no way to know what would or could happen so I would send mine to school.
 
I saw the threats against Haralson County and was a bit concerned (my BFF lives in Haralson and her daughter attends). Now Paulding is posting (although, yes, I know they said no specific threat). I just don't know. I've never held them home before. We'll probably discuss it tonight.
 
I am generally not one to worry about stuff but the way things are going in our country these days even a non specific threat concerns me. We are going to discuss it tonight and decide what we are going to do. I don't live in fear but when it comes to my kids I will do what I have to do to protect them.
 
And my son JUST texted me the post that is floating around Facebook. Dang. Children shouldn't have to live like that. :BH

I still have not decided what to do... :dunno

Me & Hubby are thinking it over... cannot really discuss this in front of the kiddo.
 
My son is texting that he's not going tomorrow. Which leads me to believe there is a lot of discussion going on at school among the kids. I can't only imagine what the kids are saying. :BH

No child should ever fear going to school. :\'(
 
The Lamar County Sheriff's Office has also posted that they are aware of the rumors of threats and they are planning to have additional officers at the schools and at the football games Friday night.
 
Sadly, I remember 9/11 as the day ALL Americans came together in prayer and love. We were only mad at the bad guys who drove the planes. We weren't fighting each other. :(
 
I've got my location covered and it will be locked up tight as a tick tomorrow, just as it is each day. :police

Got an email from 8yo nephew's private Christian school about this...they are not varying their routines. The have mondo security precautions in place. He'll go as usual tomorrow unless something else changes. I've been surprised that more so-called soft targets, like malls and schools, haven't been hit. The kidnapping off the bus in south Alabama a year or two ago shows how easy it would be.
 
We will probably send her because I trust the principal
and she is looking forward to dressing for "Patriot Day."

(we also live literally 5 minutes from the front door...)

Depends on what the Hubby says, he just knows things. ;)
 
Sherrif posted to FB that none of the threats are credible, bit they will still have additional security measures in place.
 
There is a gathering planned at Stone Mountain tomorrow (or so "they" are advertising ... don't know if it is official or not). People have TOTALLY blown that gathering out of proportion and added a TON of false details.

There is a FYF event there ... but no call for attacks.
