GAH!!! You could at least give me one of them!!! Are any of them all black? I used to walk my elderly next-door neighbor's grandson's large black GS when he was in boot camp and OCS...his name was Rommel. Said grandson is a military history nut. This Rommel is about eight now, and doing well. He lives in Kentucky at Fort Campbell with his human now. I miss him.

unionmom said:None of ours is all black though the female is still mostly black. And too funny ... one of our boys is named Rommel and it is for the same reason as the one you knew.
Pictures coming soon.
I haven't broken it to hubby yet but he's most likely going to need to come up with a different name for Rommel's registration. AKC only allows a certain number of any name and I'm guessing that one was maxed out a long time ago. ) Rommel can still be his "call name", obviously ... just can't be his registered name.mei lan said:unionmom said:None of ours is all black though the female is still mostly black. Oh, goodie!!! :clappingandjumpingupanddown:
RE: Rommel - I've studied him since that time, and he was a fascinating (and brave) man. Great military leader. At least he realized he was on the wrong side before the end.
