Which Credit Union ...

Haven't been doing CUs.

Suntrust has treated us very well though. We started moving things to them from Wells Fargo a couple of years ago.

First, I love Bank of America and we have never had any issues with them. But, we recently opened an account with Navy Federal to take advantage of their new car financing rates. They were very easy to deal with but their offices are inconvenient to Paulding.

Hubby mention Navy Fed but I want to be able to hit a local branch so I'm worried about that.

GD ... no chance of us going to SunTrust. They burned their bridge with me a long time ago.

I've been told there are some ATMs in the are, but I couldn't tell you where. Other than going to sign loan documents, I've only dealt with them on the phone (when we opened the account) and electronically.

Seriously, Bank of America has given us awesome service over the years - up until December, they were the only bank we had used for anything in 20 years. We picked Navy Federal only because their new car loan rates were the lowest and BoA said that they couldn't match it.

I think hubby is pretty set on a credit union. I'm not a fan of any of the big banks at this point.

What about LGE? Seems to me that I recall hearing something about them recently. (something other than the employees picketing)

My mom uses LGE and I use IBM. Both are easy to join. We have received excellent service at both. For S. Paulding, you would have better access to LGE (there on 278 on the left just before you cross the county line). Seriously - both of them have given EXCELLENT service to us, and each of us has been a member for over 20 years.

I hate banks. If I had to use a bank, it'd be BB&T. They didn't take bailout funds, and they are some pretty straight-up folks from what I hear. I think I've also heard halfway decent things about Fifth Third Bank, but I'd have to check more on that one.

Thanks, ml. Hubby wanted me to check out LGE, Navy Fed., and Delta. Georgia Community looks good, too.

LGE totally ROCKS! I've been with them for 15 or so years. They have quite a few locations that are closer now.

Hubster uses Delta and has for 20+ years. He cannot complain either!

I would not want to use a regular old bank ever.
