I've been in and out of the office today, but I'm looking forward to going home in a bit and grillin' some steaks. I went by Brown's Foods on my day off and picked up a box of T-Bones. Rumor is they're pretty good, but I'l be the judge of that in oh.......'bout 3 hours.

:suntn

S-I-L smoked a couple of Boston Butts. He's in there pulling them now. OMG are they good!

I'm not sure what we're having, but I will most likely put something on the grill!!!

Boston butt ... already cooked ... my in-laws brought it with them.

They ARE good, but the last time I ate some I woke up with a northern accent

Betcha sounded like a Kennedy

Come to think of it, yes! They named the Boston Butt after Teddy. Did you know they float if dropped in a lake? :whistle

Burgers and Hot Dogs, tater salad, fresh corn on the cob from the garden, spinach vegetable dip, spinich artichoke dip and cream cheese with chipped beef and onion spread.

I'm hungry, oh and I love spinach. ;D

I am currently enjoying a bowl of Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. We'll probably make it a cereal night. We have already celebrated Independence Day so today is just a chill day. :cheer1

Hamburgers, brat’s marinated in beer, fruit salad, and homemade ice cream…strawberry, and chocolate!

I :love spinach too! I made a spinach quiche for breakfast and we have been eating my spinach artichoke dip on and off today. :)

Lettuce wraps and caprese salad for tonight.

Burgers and dogs off the grill, stuffed bacon wrapped peppers from my friend's garden, pasta salad, potato salad, tomotoes from mu friends garden(oh and they were gooood!), strawberry shortcake, beer, margaritas, and tea.

And milk and Pirate Booty for the kiddos in addition to the food listed above. Lol

I spent most of the day at a picnic in Marmarth: hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill. For supper, I have some chicken breasts I grilled the other night, so I'll heat up one of those, some rice, and I have celery sticks and Waldorf Salad left over from the picnic.

Okay. Please tell me what is in Waldorf salad. I hear it a lot, but I'm not sure what it is... though I think I have an idea.

It tastes best if you buy fresh Waldorf.

Kidding!

Actually, it's grapes, apples, celery, and walnuts (somebody forgot the walnuts today) all in mayonaise. My recipe includes a little bit of lemon juice (keeps the apples from going brown), pepper, and salt. Many serve it on a bed of lettuce.

The salad originated at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel sometime in the late 1800s. This is the recipe I use:

After my long sweaty, rained on and having to hold tents down kinda day I had the bosses credit card and it took Chad and I to Ted's.

The waiter said I looked sleepy...lol

We left the house at 3:30am and got home after 9pm. Chad is passed out and I can't sleep. My feet and back are killing me
