We are one person removed....

This weekend was the Law Firm's Annual Retreat. One of the Senior Partners and his wife hung out with us. She is a daughter of the family that owns the Tugboat Company I work for, which explains how I got the job. My original resume came from the Corporate Headquarters to Savannah.

They live in Washington, D.C. While we are riding around Savannah in my truck, George (The Senior Partner) starts talking about "Joe". One of his good friends. His wife takes out her cellphone and shows us pictures of them and their children at a party at the White House, with Obama and his family. It turns out, of course, they are very liberal and very anti-gun. They did not know there were two loaded revolvers within a few feet of them.
The Chief said she was proud of me for not telling him that I thought Biden was like a monkey with a live grenade. I kept my mouth shut and just said things like "that's really nice". They have always been very nice to us, so I just let it go.

It is kind of cool to know we are one person removed from the President of the United States. Even if it is this President.

Obama, on the other hand, can just bite my ample butt.

Yikes!! Seriously though, I have several friends and family members that are not as conservative as I am. I think I was more surprised to find out most of them are conservative. We all started in Chicagoland, so I guess I assumed most would be Dems.

People are people and I try not to hold their stupidity against them.

Callahan, did they happen to mention how much that little party they attended cost us?? ;D

Joe is truly missing something upstairs. Anyone who tells are paraplegic to stand up is a few bricks shy. How about the comment to a group in San Francisco that he thinks the Giants win the NFC Championship Game. Crazy Joe didn't even realize the Giants were FOOTBALL and not baseball.

If he was a republican, the news media would have pressured him to resign. Since he's a dem, his stupidity is given a pass by all.

Oh, I NEVER get into politics with my extended family on either side. There are a few reasonable people on either end of the spectrum with whom one can have a civil discussion. The others are RABID (again, on either end of the spectrum), and I cannot abide that. And they like to bait people into an argument. They pull that crap on me and I get up and go somewhere else.
