Crisis Line: 706-776-HOPE (4673)

You can support them by donating to or purchasing from their two thrift stores, or making a cash or in kind donation.
I already support and donate to them. Circle of Hope is who helped me when my life was on the line.
I have their brochures and share with many patients.
I have been to their secret shelter before and met with the staff.
But thanks for putting it out for others to see.
By the way, when they are "full" because they don't have enough money to build a bigger place, as was Gainesville as well, then one has to pay for weeks of hotel use.
Circle of Hope's shelter is so small that when it services 3 counties, its very little hope but at least some.
Dahlonega has NOA of which I have donated to for 10 years as well.
No One Alone.
Shelters even larger ones are frequently full because there is so much DV and more shelters are needed.
I have in my will in fact if both me and my spouse dies my 401K will pay for one in White County. They were very appreciative of that.

If you would like to donate, that would be awesome as all of the counties really need their own. Even small donations help.
Thanks!

I normally enjoy reading, I've just been too busy lately to sit down long enough. Write on!!!
It's ok! I understand. I have those times too. Right now unable to work, so I have a bit more time to read and a whole more time to read lately because my shoulder is messed up, got a call from the anesthesiologist who was supposed to do my surgery outpatient who after obtaining medical records from other physicians tells me I have to be scheduled in patient. Boss was sick all night with fever and a cold and I can't sleep due to my shoulder pain being worse at night. We woke at 3am and I took a pain pill (had 2) and finally went to sleep about 4, then woke up at 7a and I think he went to work like at 5 or something. I'm having my coffee now and another pain med.
I do not like pain meds but when they work it's a good thing. Problem is the nighttime with the shoulder and pillows stacked for support.

Hate to hear about your shoulder pain, I've been going through the same for several months. I finally broke down and agreed to a 4 month chiro plan. I was more than skeptical at first but I'm half-way through the treatment and have to admit it may just be doing some good. If I can avoid surgery it will be worth it. Shoulder pain at night is terrible, it keeps you up all night which makes your grumpy the next day.

thanks for understanding. I tore the ligament in a fall that holds the joint in place. Surgery is the only option at this point.
I have medication to take in the morning and my doctor called in something yesterday for night time and I will get it today. This morning was better. I actually slept across a guest bedroom mattress that has thick foam padding with myarm propped up. I really need to go to work. Contemplating whether to do this or not. I need it but I need to work. I have an upstairs house and I fell in November on one of the trips back to get clothes when my daddy was in ICU. I have glaucoma and don't see well in periphery. My daddy all year told me to get another place to live and that those stairs would not be good for me. When he saw I couldnt move now he told me move in the downstairs bedroom but to avoid the stairs. He was right. Down I went an tried to grab the rail on the way down and it jerked it out of joint then I contines to fall down the 9 remaining wood stairs and landed on it.
I do believe chiropractors are good. If that were a financial option for me I would do it instead.

I like chiropractors that are true chiropractors. What I mean by that are the ones that do adjustments, maybe some massage therapy, etc. I don't like the ones that tell you the only way to get better is drop all your prescriptions and buy all these supplements from me as that is the only way you will get better. I am not against supplements I just don't think they are the answer to everything. When I used to visit the chiropractor in by early 20's, it was all about adjustments to keep my back aligned so that all those nerves in my back are not impacted. I felt the best in my life back then when I had that. I have not found a "true" chiropractor since those days. Lots of them are now holistic doctors and not really chiropractors.

J-man good luck to you my friend.
