I think Antarctica would be a neat trip.

Really enjoyed Alaska last year, would really like to go again and head farther North.

Alaska is DA BOMB!!! TOTALLY on my list of places to visit again (and again).

When I was a kid, a family vacation was going to MI to visit grandparents and other family members. I liked going to visit my grandparents who lived in northern MI on a lake. My grandfather would take us out on one of his boats to go fishing or water skiing all the time while we were up there during the summer. If we went up there during winter, he'd take us ice fishing, which I didn't really enjoy that much because it was too darn cold standing out there trying to catch perch.

We went on a cruise. I was a very happy guy! Did salmon fishing, saw whales, eagles like pigeons, it was incredible!

Cruises just don't sound exciting to me. The closest I came to a cruise was during Desert Storm. The US leased a cruise ship to provide 3 nights of R&R for the troops and had it ported in Bahrain. The food was great. The entertainment was always at night and it was great as well. There was absolutely nothing to do during the day and that made it very boring.

The day excursions are what make the days fun. There are a few things to do on the boat during the day, but you're right it can get pretty boring - unless you like eating 24/7. We'd usually be among the first folks off the boat after it docked, and would only board to eat or when it was time to depart.

Making plans to rent a small cabin in the Smokies this spring,
