6. Are you a loud talker?
no, I'm a soft talker, I have to purposely talk louder on the phone

115. What would you do with a red Sharpie, 2 paper towels and a ceramic 8" rooster?

Take the cap off the sharpie and sniff it, love the sharpie smell. Then draw on one of the paper towels with the red sharpie so it will look like a bandana and tie it around the roosters neck and call him "Willie" and save the other paper towel for the next mess in the kitchen :popcorn

1. If you find yourself on a platform or stage what are you tempted to do? Generally, sing, since that's the most common reason I'd be on a stage. Although I have also been in a couple of plays, but you couldn't call what I did acting. :D

2. What color will you not wear? Orange...it's a HIDEOUS color on me.

3. What's around your neck? The collar of my shirt, although not right up around it.

4. What was one of your favorite childhood games? Baseball. (I was a strange girl.) (Shut up, Guard Dad.)

5. What is the last thing you tore? A paper at work with some financial figgers on it that I was too lazy to take to the shredder.

6. Are you a loud talker? Not terribly, but I'm not a whisperer, either.*

115. What would you do with a red Sharpie, 2 paper towels and a ceramic 8" rooster? Don't have the vaguest idea.

* Funny story. My then-16-year-old nephew acquired a marvelous acute brain injury in a car accident several years ago and spent three weeks in a coma. (No, that's not the funny part.) So, The Shepherd Center said he was a good candidate for rehab (while he was still in a coma) and sure enough, he woke up a day after he was transferred there. He had many areas of rehab, but one of them was that he had to learn how to talk again. He's very gregarious, and once his trach tube was out, he remembered how to talk pretty quickly. But he couldn't moderate volume level. So when I was there one day, he was whispering, thinking he was talking normally. The next day, he was TALKING VERY LOUDLY WITH EVERYTHING HE SAID, again thinking he was talking normally. He was in a four-bed unit, and the kid in the next bed had a smelly gaseous emission, and Nephew said, "OH, BUBBA FARTED!!! IT STINKS!!!" and he just kept going like that (because brain injuries include obsession many times). My brother was trying to hush him up and he just couldn't clue in that he was talking louder than normal. HAHAHAHAHAA

Nephew recovered beautifully and walked out of the hospital under his own power six weeks later, and even though he missed a semester due to physical and occupational therapy, he graduated on time, and went on to college. I can't say enough good about the folks at Shepherd. For all the dreadfully injured patients they had while Tim was there, it was one of the most hopeful and optimistic places I have ever visited. Nephew had been diagnosed as being in a complete vegetative state with no hope of recovery by the neurosurgeons and neurologists who saw him after the wreck. But God knew differently... :)
