Trump wins GA...

I just can't believe that the RNC would be so stupid as to try and plug Romney in. I can see the DNC getting away with a brokered convention, especially if Hillary is indicted; but Republican voters will give the RNC the ultimate middle finger if they try such a stunt. I'm still not a Trump fan, but if he vets the votes in the primary, they should let the guy run. Especially if he wins by a significant margin.

As for the primary turnout numbers above...the question is, are we really seeing the Dems staying at home or are they playing the ballot switching game? Just remember that the ballot switchers switch back in the general election.

But as is almost always the case; turnout decides who wins.

I don't think they would try to put Romney in...that would be stupid (although I would prefer him over Trump). However, if Trump doesn't get to 1237 delegates then they will likely give it to Cruz or Rubio at the convention. Technically this wouldn't be breaking the rules either but many won't like it (I, however, will be jumping for joy).

The fact that Romney is back in the news attempting to derail the Trump train shows just how desperate times have become for the GOP. Frankly nobody cares what Romney thinks, he had his chance to run as a candidate but turned it down. A good argument could be made that he's responsible for why the GOP finds itself in their current predicament. Just another brain-fart GOP maneuver, and another bad one at that.

"Hey, I know what we can do, let's get that Romney guy to go on tv and blast Trump. You know, that "Christian" guy who lost in our last General Election."

The only candidate close to Trump in delegates will be Cruz. I could possibly see the delegates switching over to Cruz if he and Trump were very close at convention time.

If they try and put Rubio in it would be a disaster for them.

Cruz would be good.

If they put in Cruz over Trump because of delegates, I believe Hillary will win. Why? Because while many think Trump is a nut case, many also think Cruz is a right wing nut case. The people that want Trump will still come out for Trump, possibly Rubio, but the voters that normally stay home will stay home with Cruz, because he is not middle of the road. He is right conservative. I still believe this even though LTD pointed out that Trump and Cruz share some types of voters. The shared voting might be factual, but those evangelical and tea party votes are not the ones I am concerned with getting. It is the I stay at home votes that Trump seems to be getting that worry me. The numbers of voters so far has been record breaking. I put Cruz and Rubio in the same pot as McCain, Romney. They did not, nor I think could, bring out the voters like we have seen.
I could be wrong, but that is what I believe as of now.

I've heard you refer to Cruz as a right wing nut case a couple of times. I have also heard others make similar allegations. Can anyone tell me where this originated? It's like it just appeared out of nowhere with no specifics. I'm asking because one other person who said that was a liberal and when I asked him, he said that it was because he was a "gun nut" and a "radical right wing evangelical Christian". I have yet to get a really plausible explanation. BTW. I'm not being a smartass, I am genuinely curious.

The thing that got me with Cruz was he flew to go meet and do the dog and pony show with Kim Davis. He was mad when Huck kept him from showing his support of her. He wanted to be associated with her and her crazy.
For me personally, I mostly think his personality sucks, he is creepy, and looks like Grandpa Muenster. Those I know that think he is a right wing nut case have not specifically said why, but I will ask.

Yeah Davis was a losing situation in my book. Maybe what they are calling a right wing nut case we refer to as a conservative. :)
