This is exactly why the Dems keep bringing investigations and charges against him, to try and scare people from voting for him. Here's an interesting thought. What if Trump does become president, and while he is president-elect and the electoral votes are counted, he's found guilty of the charges against him in Fulton County? You would think the vice-president-elect would become the president-elect. Not so fast. The Twentieth Amendment states the vice-president become president, right? Not necessarily.
It is an open legal question whether a candidate becomes the president-elect after winning a majority of the vote in the Electoral College or only after Congress counts the vote. The Democrats will claim the vice-president elect cannot become the president-elect. Will they make the challenge that Biden is the president-elect in that case or will they demand a special election? Regardless the SCOTUS will end up making that decision.
Those aren't the reasons I have refusing to give him my vote. This is exactly why the Dems keep bringing investigations and charges against him, to try and scare people from voting for him.
Didn't say they were, but that is why the Dems are doing it. And it's election interference. Those aren't the reasons I have refusing to give him my vote.

Trump is way up on the other GOP contenders for now, no doubt about that.
The theoretical match-ups for the general election only mean so much at this point because they are basically "what if" and way premature. Most all of them at this stage show Trump vs Biden in a close race. But there is lots to develop there; how bad will the economy get, how far will Biden's approval ratings drop, what will come of all the alogations against the Bidens that seem to be breaking, etc. And, how well will Trump play in th epolls if he does get the nomination? All we can do is speculate about all that.
The Dems will argue that a president is removed from office if found guilty in a trial by 2/3 of the senate disqualifies the president be removed from office, they will surely try to argue so does a felony conviction as a candidate.I don't think it would matter. I don't think there is anything that says POTUS can't serve from prison. Unlikely, but it could theoretically happen.

I know that. I'm just pointing out there are lots more reasons out there not to vote for Trump.Didn't say they were, but that is why the Dems are doing it. And it's election interference.
Great president? No, he doesn't have the personality for that. A great president would need to be able to unite the American people better than he did. EX: Reagan.I know that. I'm just pointing out there are lots more reasons out there not to vote for Trump.
I used to think the rudest people were from NYC because that was my experiences with so many who were from there. Basically I found them to be unpleasant to be around because they were also very crude. That's Trump. The Internet has made even more people around the country to be rude and crude and I suppose that is one reason some people saw him appealing.
''He tells it like it is.'' So did Reagan, but he did it maintaining his dignity. He didn't treat his opponents with disrespect. Reagan exemplified leadership. Trump doesn't even have a clue what leadership is. He thinks leadership is forcing his will upon others. I have no doubt if Trump could get away with it, he would start rounding Democrats up and putting them in concentration camps to get them out of his way. He would probably do the same with those Republicans who disagree with him because he finds them to be a nuisance.
I know some of you think he was such a great president, but George W. Bush got more accomplished with Congress than Trump has. You have to admit, he entered office with the left believing he was chosen not elected to be president. Bush could make fun of himself as well.
The big question has become, what changed our society to be more accepting of this kind of behavior when it wasn't accepted before?
I've seen some swing state polls that show DeSantis beating Biden, but Trump losing to Biden. Georgia is one, for example. Arizona as well.
One thing to take into consideration, a large majority of Republican voters refuse to participate in polls. It's scary that any mainstream candidate is running that close to Biden. Given his approval ratings, he should be losing to almost everyone.
So are the polls wrong, or do that many people hate Republicans so much they will vote for any Democrat over them? I suspect the latter. The GOP needs to work on their image and get the real truth out.
I'd say diehard true conservatives, (Hey you kids, get off my grass!) rather than Republicans, but agree. I'm one of them. One thing to take into consideration, a large majority of Republican voters refuse to participate in polls.
He didn't help himself here.
