Have noticed a lot of pines on my property dying, I figure they have pine beetles or something.

So hired a tree firm to take them out. About to finish up Day 2, many of these are over 100 ft tall and its' taking a long time. Going to have to find the cash to pay for day 3. :(

Tearing up the yard, but I want it done.
 
Getting trees cut down is super expensive. I had 4 removed when I lived in Mableton. Total was about $18,000 if I remember right. The guy that climbed the trees deserves every dollar he gets paid. Ain't no way this homey would ever attempt something like that.
 
Yeah, a couple are over 125', he's climbing to 100' just to top them out.

He's giving me a pretty good rate, going to be about 20 trees, 3 days about $7500.

It's cheaper because most of them are way away from the house and neighbors garage, so not as much worry about damage.

Good point....mine were a few feet from the house and the entire lot was about 1/3 acre so not very big.
 
Yeah, there is a new Pine Beetle going through. We had about 10 trees taken out about two years ago for about $8000. They took down the tree, hauled them off, chipped the slash and ground the stumps in about 2 days. This crew came equipped with head sets and mikes to communicate with each other... very safe and professional.
