Think you had a bad day.....

I can't help but wonder how in the heck the guy managed to do that?

I dunno, either...thought he set the brake or it doesn't work, and accidentally pushed it out of gear as he got out? Doesn't sound plausible, but then a bronco/boat/trailer backed into the lake doesn't sound plausible, either.

I complained about my bad day but I think sinking a boat beats my day.

The boat floated just fine, not the trailer and Explorer (the trailer is still attached) And the proud owner standing there in the baby blue hat

Ohhhhhh! I didn't enlarge the photo yesterday. You're right! I'd be just sick if I'd done that!!!

I overheard the owner say he had backed down the ramp, got out and was releasing the boat off the trailer and heard a big snap from the SUV and it started rolling into the water. I had heard from a couple of folks there it had been in the water a couple of hours because they had to keep bringing in more man power. During this time is when the High Tide was coming in, and made matters worst. What I don't understand is the position of the wiper blades, it was clear and sunny.

Here's a pic of the boat being tied off to the trailer before it all was drug up out of the water. I guess "gone fishin" didn't happen for the man yesterday

Just sickening. I know the owner had to be just nauseated over that. I know things can be replaced, but to have that happen and then deal with the aftermath...UGH....

Okay, I'm finding it quite amusing the number of folks (men) gathered to watch. :))

Was he able to start it up and drive away?

Your kidding, right?? The only thing operable was the boat. The SUV is trashed, and the trailer lost the left back axle during the recovery. I was very impressed with the owner/operator of the wrecker service. Watching him drag the cables, chains, and hooks into the water then diving under the vehicle to hook it up. I am certain AAA or the insurance company will be getting a huge "recovery" towing bill.

But no one has mentioned if he caught any fish or not. :jk

I almost had this happen to me once, I was loading my boat and the driver who was suppose to pull me out, nervous because it was a straight shift, in all his nervousness forgot to take out of reverse and upon racing the engine and dumping the clutch to keep from rolling backwards was in over half way the front tires with the fan on the moter slapping the water.

Probably cost me 10,000 miles off my clutch, floated everything in the bed of the truck to the tailgate but other than that got out ok.

if he has insurance it might not be that bad of a day after all... see I am looking at the glass half full

I would have been funny if he opened up one of the doors and some good sized fish fell out. :laugh
