Not a lot of movement on the maps or projections this week.
I suspect most of you know that we (the public) don't get the good polls, you have to pay for that. The campaigns and news agencies pay good money for that.
The "internal polling" shows factors like likely voters and enthusiastic voters, and stuff like that often gives a better prognostication of what's actually going to happen. What little I've been able to see indicates that categories like this show the Republicans with another 2-4 point advantage.
As always, turnout is one of the very main factors that decide elections. Indications are that the younger voters aren't turning out in high numbers this time. Biggest reason probably being that Donald Trump isn't on the ballot, so the hate vote won't be quite the influence it was last election. This is why the Democrats desperately keep bringing Trump up, because it motivates the angry, Trump hating voters.
There are also reports that now that the younger voters have seen what their last vote brought them, they aren't so happy with it.
So these factors would tend to give the GOP a significant advantage.
The desperation from the Democrats would also suggest they believe a butt whoopin is coming.
The media and talking heads clearly think the Dems will get burned on Tuesday.
That said, we still don't know what the effect of mail-in voting will be this time or how secure it will be. I am completely convinced that mail-in voter fraud alone threw the election last time, and we really don't know whether or not it's been fixed.
So I want to predict a HUGE night for the Republicans. I just wish I had more confidence in the election system.
