Senator Paul has posted the basics of his plan. It still needs some clarification such as who exactly qualifies for the $5000 per person tax deduction and if that deduction is refundable and can be issued as a prebate. But this looks like the market approach we have been looking for.

From listening to Rand in the recent past, it sounds good to me. I we just have to have the govt involved, I'd much rather see his plan implemented. They talked and talked and talked about the republicans not having any idea. Heck, I remember years ago when they were suggesting medical savings accounts and purchasing plans across state lines to encourage competition.
