so I wash towels 3 times a week

My daughter uses 15 a week for some odd reason and she refuses to reuse any no matter how little she used one..I am about to start making her do the towels

Here's the thing with towels....you're drying off clean, so you're not making them dirty. The problem is when they sour while wet.

In my master bath, the towel bar is right over the HVAC vent, so it dries quickly from the air flow. So I can easily get 2-3 uses from it while still smelling fresh.

Thank you for that. But, I must warn people, if you plan to dry off by running around naked at least dry off the bottom of your feet first. Tile can get dangerously slippery. I learned that the hard way.

I know one is clean when one uses a towel but I just can't reuse them. They are used once and go in the hamper. It's just the 2 of us and I wash towels 3 times a week too.

I use one of these so I only have to wash it once a month.

She is 17... And she will be learning really soon. I am even gonna make her buy her own soap cause I want her to know about the cost of wasting the detergent lol

I use a fresh one every day, as does the princess and the hubby. I wash towels once a week - that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is when hubby takes the last clean towel in our linen closet and doesn't tell me (or doesn't replenish them) so I have to tromp out into the hallway in all my glory to get more towels... :rant

When I was 15-16, I was playing softball A LOT! I took 2 showers per day and used 2 towels per shower, always fresh. I'll let y'all do the math. :)) It took my dad throwing a fit and stating I would, at a minimum, use the same towel all day, and that I was no longer allowed to use one for the hair and one for the body.

I will still hang my towel to dry on the shower and do a "sniff test" before I reuse. So sometimes I reuse and sometimes I don't. But the towels never stay around more than 2 days.
