The Grammy Awards

I don't watch any of those "shows," I just check out the photos, to see what they were wearing. Do some of them not own mirrors? I mean with all that money surely they can come off of 20 bucks for a mirror from HD.

It's just a 7th-grade-girl-type popularity contest (including all awards shows here). And I'm probably being insulting to 7th-grade girls.

LOL.
I did not watch either.

I watched a bit of it. I loathe these shows. But I wanted to see te Whitney Houstone tribute. But my ears started bleeding immediately as Maroon 5 went on as soon as I put it on. Them Katy Perry and somewhere in there Taylor Swift. Ugh. Turrible.

But I did see Adele. Wow, she is just amazing. I turned it off and went to sleep when she was done. I am very strange - I do not like a lot of the popular bands out there rigt now. Very, very few of them do I like.

TWINS!!! I don't know what it says about us (yes, I do) that a kid like Taylor Swift has become a megastar based on her long blonde locks and skinny twig legs. 'Cause she sure can't sing. Ditto Katy Perry, and I, too, have never seen the appeal of Maroon 5. Adele reminds me of talents like Amy Winehouse...whether you like her or not, she's her own self. I like that.

Nice to see the Foo Fighters are still fightin' Foo. Bruno Mars isn't my music at all, but the kid is talented, and Adele has a great Blues-Soul voice.

The only awards I really care about are announced in a press release thirty minutes before the show starts. Congrats to Tedechi-Trucks Band for best Blues Album and Levon Helm for best Americana Album. The old farts and their offspring still have it, they have just moved off stage to make room for teen angst and booty shakin'..

See, LtD, THAT is the music I like. Actually, I hurt my back dancing with BabyB to "Rag Mama Rag" the other day. I love me some Levon Helm. Actually, I walked down the isle to Ryan Adams.

I am a jam band/Americana type fan.

Basically, if it isn't on the radio, I like it. I'm a Bluegrass fan too. (Oh yeah, congrats to Alison Krauss and Union Station for best Bluegrass Album. She has the voice of an angel) My ipod certainly wouldn't be stolen for the music, except by another old Hippie.

Didn't watch it, it's a waste of my time. It's to the point that so much of the show has to be bleeped out because of bad language, I might as well just put the TV on mute. They need to change the categories - "Best use of the "f" word in pop song," "best profanity laced album," "best male vocalist who can actually sing the entire song without being bleeped," "best female vocalist who can sing while standing up in 12 in heels naked," and I can go on and on, but I'm making myself sleepy just thinking about it.....

Or me. Haha!

Or my brother even. Lol

I only watched the last few minutes. There was this blonde, black chick "singing", I guess some would call it. My ears were bleeding. Paul McCartney was brutally terrible. I couldn't wait for the news to come on. Hearing about fires, revolutions and car wrecks was actually a relief.

Our song leader at church was up for a few...He won 1 and was really excited!!!

I watched the entire thing and it was awful...just awful. Most of the performances were horrible. The performances are really the only reason I even watch these shows.

I only really liked Carrie Underwood & Tony Bennett singing together, Taylor Swift, The Foo Fighters and Blake Shelton. Jennifer Hudson was pitchy, at best. And why did they want to honor Whitney Houston with a song that she didn't even make famous? I mean, c'mon, Jennifer could have sung "The Greatest Love of All" that Whitney sang in the 80's. Why sing Dolly's song? I know Whitney sang that song well, but to me it will always be Dolly's song...not Whitney's. Marroon 5 was OK. I like Nick Lavine. Niki Menaj was pure trash.

And Abby needs to go back to the lab (even though I love her).
