There have been signs for quite some time of a battle beginning to brew between the progressives and the old establishment of the Democratic Party. The progressives are expressing their displeasure in the cabinet choices being announced by Biden, as they were all part of the Obama administration. Now the young progressives will start making accusations assaulting the character and integrity of members of the old Democratic establishment. The progressives will use the same smear tactics the Democrats have used on Republicans to cancel out the old guard.
Don't be surprised to see progressives run candidates in primaries against incumbent Democrats in 2022. The progressives will have tons of cash to do this, thanks primarily to one billionaire.
A young progressive female has already taken a serious shot at Gov. Cuomo. This will be interesting to watch and see if many other young progressive females come out and make similar allegations. How many Democrats will come out and defend Cuomo? How many will come out and demand he resign? My money is the old guard members will most likely keep their opinions to themselves in fear of the progressives trying to cancel them out.
